The Laurels Residential Care Home has been a family run care home for over 20 years and lies in a tranquil, rural setting in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and overlooking an old golf course, The Laurels offers high quality, person centred care in a homely, caring environment. The Laurels is a small residential home with only 8 rooms ensuring a personalised, family environment where every individual need can be met by a familiar, consistent staff team. We also offer a Day Care Service where family members can be dropped off for the day, treated to a pampering session or a game of bingo and then enjoy a good home cooked lunch. It is a service which provides companionship and occupation to people who may otherwise be alone at home all day, isolated and bored and at risk. Our primary aim is to ensure that each resident is treated as an individual and encouraged to be in control of all aspects of their care and daily lives. Care plans are developed with each individual and their families to ensure that all needs and desires are identified and met and actioned. Our primary concern is for the happiness, well being and security of our residents and to ensure that they feel safe, listened to and respected at all times. Our highly qualified, consistent and caring staff team strive to create a warm, homely and caring atmosphere where the residents do truly feel ‘at home.’
