Kirkby Urgent Treatment Centre to close this weekend
Kirkby Urgent Treatment Centre at St Chad’s Clinic will be closed this weekend (10 and 11 February), due to essential maintenance work being carried out by the landlord, Community Health Partnerships.
Kirkby UTC will close at the normal time of 8pm on Friday, 9 February and reopen at 8am on Monday, 12 February.
All of the other urgent treatment and walk-in centres delivered by Mersey Care are operating as normal, and patients are being redirected to their nearest alternatives which include: Litherland UTC (South Sefton), Huyton WIC (Nutgrove Villa), Halewood WIC (Roseheath Drive) and Garston UTC (South Liverpool).
For anyone requiring same day urgent care, we encourage calling NHS 111 in the first instance, for advice on the right service for your treatment needs.

We are delighted to announce that we are currently accepting new patients at our practice.

To register as a patient with us, we have made the process simple and convenient. You can either fill out our online pre-registration form by visiting our website or personally visit our practice to collect a registration form. Once you have completed the registration, our dedicated team will handle the transfer of your medical records from your previous practice.

We will then contact you via telephone to schedule an appointment for your initial consultation as a new patient. During this appointment, we will assess your health and provide valuable advice to help you maintain your well-being.

We understand that your time is valuable, which is why we offer both face-to-face and telephone appointments. You can easily book an appointment for the same day or up to 14 days in advance. Our average wait time for a GP appointment is just 24 hours, ensuring that you receive prompt care when needed. If you are housebound we havr a range of options to ensure you continue to receive care including home visits from our dedicated GPs.

If you require a prescription, simply request it online via our website, https://www.colbymedical.nhs.uk/prescriptions, via email, Colby.medicalcentre@nhs.net or using the NHS app. Furthermore, all our appointments are scheduled for a duration of 15 minutes. This allows more time for you to discuss your concerns with our clinicians, as we understand that there may be multiple issues to address when you're not feeling your best. We want to ensure that you receive the comprehensive care and attention you deserve.
