Towerhill Community Hub Unveils £1.6 Million Transformation

Towerhill Community Hub in Kirkby has celebrated the completion of a £1.6 million renovation, marking a new era for the much-loved venue.

Formerly Towerhill Amateur Boxing Club, the Hub has been transformed with modern facilities including a gym, wellbeing hub, meeting rooms, offices, catering kitchen, and secure parking.

Operated by Towerhill Community Hub following a Community Asset Transfer, the site will also feature a new multi-use games area supported by the Football Foundation Playzone Fund.

Preparing for the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023

From 18 November 2025, the ECCTA introduces major changes for company directors, PSCs, and anyone filing on behalf of a company. Internal registers will no longer be required, but identity verification and Companies House filings remain mandatory. DTM Legal, as an authorised ACSP, can help ensure full compliance, including ID checks and company secretarial support.

Hayfield Bookkeeping & Accounting Shortlisted for ‘New Practice of the Year’ at LUCA Awards

Hayfield Bookkeeping & Accounting, based in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle and a proud Knowsley Chamber member, has been shortlisted for ‘New Practice of the Year’ at this year’s LUCA Awards, hosted by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB UK) widely regarded as the ‘Oscars of the bookkeeping world’.

Founded by Donna Williams MICB, the practice supports small businesses across the UK with bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts, financial forecasting, and account clean-ups.

The shortlisting comes as Hayfield celebrates its first year in business, marked by strong growth, a new office, and a growing national client base. The LUCA Awards ceremony takes place this November in London, recognising the UK’s leading bookkeeping professionals.
