The Kent and Medway All Age Eating Disorder Service has launched the first episode of its new podcast, focusing on the journey of recovery from eating disorders.

In this episode, Alice, Deborah and Flo share their personal experiences as service users. They discuss the ways in which eating disorders have affected their lives and reflect on the transformative impact of recovery.

Their stories offer valuable insight, motivation and encouragement for anyone seeking support or considering treatment 💙

We’re proud to share that the Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan, has recognised our work to improve experiences for patients and carers across our communities.

In a letter to our Patient & Carer Race Equality Lead, Erica Deti, the Mayor highlighted the impact of our Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework in tackling health inequalities, building trust and improving access to care.

This includes working alongside grassroots organisations, faith groups, barbershops, colleges and youth clubs, bringing support into trusted community spaces and ensuring people feel listened to and respected.

We’re also delighted that the team at North East London NHS Foundation Trust was Highly Commended in the NHS Race Equality Award at the HSJ Awards 2025.

Thank you to our colleagues and community partners who continue to help shape services around the people who use them. 💙
