🌿 Not long ago I gave another talk and live demonstration of Zoopharmacognosy in action, at Coastal Canine Cuisine, in Ilfracombe. As always, the evening was well attended and the audience were both curious and game enough to join in with taste / scent testing, and ask lots of questions! 👅👃
🐶 One participant was the wonderful guardian of these two beautiful Staffies, Roxy and Kermit. Amazed at how much there was to learn about ‘Why Animals Eat Plants’, Sandra asked me to visit them at home. Having cared for a number of Staffies, she described Roxy as her biggest challenge yet. Both rescue dogs came to her loving, experienced home with not insignificant issues. We made a start with Roxy, as the behaviours she can display are most challenging. Engagement with all the aromatic products was excellent, her selections very clear, and difficulty ‘giving in’ achieved by the end of the session. Lots of flags for her nervous system, the gut-brain axis and cranio-sacral healing, but a couple of weeks and lots of homework later, Roxy knew exactly what to do for her follow-up session and ‘dropped in’ significantly more easily. Despite having already reaped the benefits as onlooker, Kermit’s initial apparent apathy turned into fierce, directed selections too! Both dogs self-medicated hugely appropriate aromatics and on evenings when Sandra is offering them their top selections, they can’t wait! 🌱🐾
🙌 Sandra also decided to have a pair of energy sessions with me herself. I love it when guardians make time to care for themselves! This was where she learned the truth of my favourite mantra “bodies never lie”; seeking help initially for a physical problem, Sandra soon discovered the powerful nature of clearing blocked energies and freeing emotions that no longer serve us, as well ✨
♥️ When I asked Sandra recently if she’d like to bring the dogs along for my Interspecies Communication course participants to practise their communication skills with, she agreed - and all three excelled themselves. I feel incredibly fortunate to engage with so many animal guardians who are prepared to work not only with their animals but also to listen to and work on themselves, and then share the benefits with others too; it’s a win-win for everyone. (The well-earned pint at the pub afterwards wasn’t bad either! 🍻)
