Is there anyone more in need of relaxation, rest, and nurturing than a new mum!!

I think being a mum is the hardest job in the world, and especially in those first few months is when you are most in need of support and community 💗

I want to make sure that new mums are being looked after, taking time for themselves, resting and recharging so that they can continue to look after their tiny humans!

Today I have practised what I preach!! 🥰💚

I have taken time for myself and had a beautiful massage with the lovely Alex!
Just what I needed after having a busy few weeks and I now feel relaxed, restored, and rebalanced 💕
I can highly recommend Alex for her treatments, yoga and events 💗

I'm so lucky to have some amazing therapist friends to do swaps with ( shout out to the lovey as well!) We look after each other and make sure we are topping ourselves back up!

There is a strong stereotype in our Western culture that having a relaxing massage is a huge indulgence and a real treat- only allowed if we get given a gift voucher!

Now I love a spa day as much as the next girl! But this type of marketing means that a lot of us are missing out on a therapy that has soooo many physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits.

I often see that because of this mindset, clients can have feelings of guilt when coming for a treatment. Especially as women, we are so focused on looking after everyone else that we struggle to put ourselves first.
....well, I'm calling BS!!

Massage has been used in Eastern cultures for thousands of years and is part of their everyday life. They understand the benefits it can bring to the body and mind and about the healing power of touch.

I want to change how we view massage and start seeing it as an amazing and integral part of our self care! - no shame here sister!!

You can't help those you love if you are burnt out and struggling.

✨️ So take that time for yourself to fill your cup back up!

✨️ Enjoy just lying down on a warm and cosy bed, with nothing to do for an hour or 90 minutes!

✨️ Have any tension gently released from your muscles

✨️ Slow your breath, calm the mind, and lower your stress levels.

✨️ Float into that space of pure relaxation.

✨️ And have someone take care of you for a change!
