⚠️ Important Travel Update: Falsified Rabies Vaccines in India 🇮🇳

If you’ve recently travelled to India and received a rabies vaccination or post-exposure treatment, please take a moment to read this important update.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued a warning about falsified Abhayrab rabies vaccines (batch KA24014) circulating in India. While this vaccine is not used in the UK, travellers who were vaccinated abroad could have received one or more falsified doses — meaning they may not be fully protected against rabies.

If this applies to you:
🩺 Check your vaccination records – vaccine brand name.
📞 If you received “Abhayrab” or are unsure, please contact us at YPC Health Travel Clinic for review and advice.

Today we raise awareness of mesothelioma, a devastating cancer most often linked to asbestos and long-term exposure to harmful dust. Sadly, those working in construction, manufacturing, shipbuilding, mining, engineering, and other dusty or dirty environments remain at greater risk of developing serious respiratory disease.

Under Health & Safety Executive (HSE) regulations, employers have a responsibility to protect the health of their workforce. This includes ensuring that those exposed to dust, fumes, or hazardous substances undergo regular health surveillance, and spirometry (lung function testing) is a key part of this process.
