The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has recommended a new take-at-home treatment that could extend the lives of thousands of people with advanced prostate cancer who are unable to have chemotherapy or tolerate standard treatments.
This treatment involves a once-daily pill called talazoparib (Talzenna) taken alongside enzalutamide — giving patients a flexible, life-extending option they can take from the comfort of home. Early clinical trials show promising results, with increased survival and longer periods before disease progression.
