Grassington Medical Centre Update ‼🥼

Due to exciting renovations taking place at Grassington Medical Practice, urgent GP appointments only will be held at Grassington Medical Centre for two weeks from Friday 27th February. Nurse appointments will continue as normal.

If you have a pre-booked GP appointment within the next two weeks, we will only contact you if your appointment needs to be rebooked. We will do our very best to keep any disruption to a minimum.

If you require GP care during this period and are able to travel to Ilkley for an appointment, we kindly ask that you do so where possible.

Please do take care if visiting as renovations continue.

We’re looking forward to the fresh new look the refurbishment will bring and will keep you updated as the work progresses.

Finally, we would like to thank our team for their continued hard work and dedication in providing a brilliant service while the renovations take place.

Simply post your reading in the secure box with your name and date of birth.
If we need to discuss your results with you, we’ll be in touch.

We are closed for staff training from 13:00 today and reopen as normal from 08:00 tomorrow.✏️📚

Should you require medical attention during our closed period, please call the usual surgery number to be redirected to the out-of-hours service or, 999 in the event of an emergency. Thank you.

IG Medical accepts prescription requests through the following methods:
-NHS App
-AccuRx
-Paper requests posted in our designated prescriptions post boxes.
-Systmonline

Please note we do not take requests over the telephone or at the reception desks.
If you would like to find out more on how to request medication online, please contact reception. 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️

What is AccuRx?

AccuRx is an online form that allows you to submit both medical and administrative queries directly to the practice.

📝Administrative queries can be submitted Monday to Friday, between 08:00 and 18:30.

🥼Medical queries can be submitted Monday to Friday, between 08:00 and 18:30.

‼If your medical query is urgent after 16:00, please call the surgery to speak to a receptionist directly.

🌐There’s no need for a username or password to use the service.

Need help using AccuRx?
Visit reception with your smartphone or tablet for a demonstration, or call us and one of our receptionists will guide you through the process over the phone.

Meet Dr Clarke, GP Partner. Dr Clarke graduated from University of Leeds in 1999 and joined IG Medical as a salaried GP in 2008. Nick has been a GP partner since 2010. Nick is a GP specialist in Dermatology and Minor Surgery and works as part of the Grange Park Dermatology Service.

Online GP led health talk: Reduce your risks of Cancer through nutrition. Find out more below 👇

Lifestyle Medicine Talk - Tuesday 24th February 6pm - 7pm

Nutrition plays a powerful role in cancer prevention and survivorship. This talk sets out to explore the current evidence surrounding this topic. It will attempt to explain how certain dietary patterns can reduce cancer risk and recurrence and may also improve quality of life. It will offer some practical guidance to help people to achieve this .

This talk will be given by GP, Dr Janet Kyriakides( GP with a special interest in nutrition and lifestyle medicine and health coaching)

There will be an opportunity to ask any questions after the talk.

This talk is free of charge, and open to anyone over 16 years of age.
