Our Values:
We are a team - we work together, build each other up, trust each other and celebrate together. We aspire - to always be our best and look for opportunities to grow and learn. We inspire - with a clear and confident message, with enthusiasm to motivate
We are approachable - we listen and empathise. Podiatry is a branch of healthcare which specialises in conditions and treatments of the foot. Podiatrists study for a degree qualification, and are entitled to use local anaesthetics and prescription only medicines if appropriate to their treatment. We are also regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council and have to maintain registration by undertaking regular and varied training. We also have a Foot Health Practitioner in our team who can effectively manage the feet of patients assessed as 'low risk'. As health professionals, we are concerned mainly with the health and function of the feet. We may undertake tests and assessments in order to give us the information we need to diagnose problems and formulate treatment plans. These can vary from long-term management of vulnerable feet, to set packages of care involving specific procedures. These assessments can sometimes identify wider health problems which will be referred to other healthcare professionals, GPs and consultants, with which we work closely, to provide you the best care. Common problems we can help with include fungal nails, verrucae, ingrowing toenails, calluses and corns. We also treat all sorts of foot pain and foot posture problems such as bunions, neuroma, plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis.
