Of Ingleton, passed away peacefully in the Ingleborough Nursing Home on Wednesday 12th November 2025, aged 78 years.

Beloved wife of Bryan, much loved mum of James, Ian & Claire, special grandma of Melisa, Selin, Tommy & Lilli, a dear mother-in-law and a good friend to all who knew her.

Susan will be sadly missed by all her loving family, relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at St Mary’s Church, Ingleton on Thursday 27th November at 11.30am followed by interment in Ingleton Cemetery.

CARR – DAVID JOHN

of Clapham, died peacefully in Airedale Hospital on Friday 7th November 2025, aged 77 years.

Beloved Husband of the late Anne, much loved dad of Sarah & Michael, special grandad of Millie, Henry & Hugo, a dear brother, uncle, father-in-law and a good friend to all who knew him.

Dave was the local police officer, an ex-player & stalwart member of North Ribb Rugby Club for many years and he will be sadly missed by all his loving family, relatives and many friends.

JAMES SEDGWICK

Jim of Bentham, died peacefully after a short illness in the Royal Lancaster Infirmary on Tuesday 4th November 2025, aged 83 years.

Beloved husband of Ann, much loved dad of Stephen & Tracey, special grandad of Laura, Charlotte & Kate, brother of Terry, uncle,
father-in-law and a good friend to many.

Jim worked at Grove Hill Garage in Bentham for many years and he will be sadly missed by all his loving family, relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service & Committal will be held at Beetham Hall Crematorium on Monday 24th November at 11am.

Refreshments are to be served at Bentham Golf Club following the service.

PETER JOHN MARTIN DOCTON

Peter of Gressingham, formerly of Melling, died peacefully at his home on Friday 31st October 2025, aged 82 years.

Dearly loved husband of Pip, much loved dad of Alex & Mark, special grandpa, brother, uncle, father-in-law and a good friend to many.

Peter had his own Dental Practice in Carnforth for many years and was also a keen member of the local Round Table. He will be sadly missed by all his loving family, relatives, colleagues and many friends.

Funeral Service & Committal will be held at Beetham Hall Crematorium on Friday 28th November at 2pm. Refreshments are to be served at The Wheatsheaf @ Beetham following the service.

Michael of Oxenforth Green, Tatham, died peacefully in Moorside Hall, Lancaster on Monday 27th October 2025, aged 84 years after a short illness.

Beloved husband of Barbara, much loved dad of Anthea, Ian & the late Richard, special grandpa of Lucy, Raven, Richard, Ava & Isaac, father-in-law of Andrew & Hazel, a dear uncle and a good friend to many.

Michael will be sadly missed by all his loving family, relatives and many friends within the farming community & The Lodge.

SHEILA ANNE MOORE (Née Stephenson)

Of Ingleton, passed away peacefully in the RLI on Tuesday 14th October 2025, aged 78 years.

Beloved & devoted wife of Frank, much loved mother of Linda, Janet, Christine & Diane, daughter of the late Harry & Mabel, special nanna of Gary, Emma & Rachel, great nanna of Freya, mother-in-law to Robert & Andrew, a beloved sister, auntie, cousin and a good friend to all who knew her.

Sheila will be sadly missed by all her loving family, relatives and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at Ingleton Cemetery on Wednesday 5th November at 11.30am.

There will be a mini bus collecting people from the New Village at 11.10am & The Community Centre at 11.15am and anyone unable to attend the service are welcome to join the family at The Marton Arms from 12noon to share memories of Sheila.

The minibus will be available from the Cemetery to The Martons & return to Ingleton.
