PAULINE ANN WRIGHT

Of Bentham, passed away unexpectedly in the Royal Lancaster Infirmary on Thursday 8th January 2026, aged 72 years.

Beloved wife of the late Willie, much loved mum of Glen, Lyndsay & the late Vicki, devoted gran of Emily & Avena, special sister of the late John, Bert and sister-in-law of Sheree, a dear auntie and a good friend to all who knew her.

Pauline will be sadly missed by all her loving family, relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at St John the Baptist Church, Low Bentham on Friday 23rd January at 11am followed by interment in Bentham Cemetery with late husband Willie.

Refreshments will be served at Tatham Bridge Inn and all are welcome.

THOMAS CLOSE

Of Bentham, passed away peacefully in St Gregorys House, Preston Patrick on Friday 19th December 2025, aged 87 years.

Beloved husband of Lorraine, a dear dad, grandad, great grandad, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and a good friend to all who knew him.

Thomas will be sadly missed by all his loving family, relatives & many friends.

Funeral Service will be held at St Matthews Church, Keasden on Tuesday 13th January at 11am, followed by interment in the churchyard, bright clothing if possible.

Refreshments will be served at Clapham Village Hall following the service and all are welcome.

Tony of Bentham, passed away peacefully in the RLI on Friday 19th December 2025, aged 64 years.

Much loved dad of Joanne & Lindsey, loving grandad, special brother of Billy & Betty, a dear uncle, brother-in-law and a good friend to all who knew him.

Tony will be sadly missed by all his loving family, relatives, Angus work colleagues and many friends.

No funeral by special request - a private cremation will take place.

The family are organizing a celebration of Tony’s life at a later date.

KENNETH STUART PEARCE

of Clapham, died unexpectedly at his new home in Cambourne on Tuesday 25th November 2025, aged 88 years.

Beloved husband of Brenda, much loved dad of Jem, Jonny & Rob, special grandad, great grandad, a dear uncle, father-in-law and a good friend to all who knew him.

Ken was involved in everything within the village for many years and he will be sadly missed by all his loving family, relatives and many friends.

A private graveside funeral will be held on Tuesday 16th December at Clapham Cemetery.

Brash (nee Pickup / Hobbs)

Susan passed away peacefully in her sleep and gained her angel wings on Saturday 22nd November 2025, aged 78 years.

Much loved Mum of Tim, Jo & Steve, Special Nanny, Mother-in-Law, Sister, Aunty and a good friend to all that knew her.

Sue worked at many local businesses in Ingleton & Settle and will be sadly missed by all her loving family, relatives and friends.

Funeral Service & Committal will be held at Beetham Hall Crematorium on Friday 19th December at 3.30pm. (The family request you wear bright colours please)

Commencing the funeral Sue will be saying goodbye to her beloved Ingleton Village and if you are not able to make the service, please feel free to show your respects from 2.30pm starting in the New Village.

Refreshments are to be served at Ingleton Community Centre following the service.
