Happy Monday all, hope everyone is enjoy the Easter break! 🐣, before I head away I wanted to leave a little bit about what being trauma informed actually means and how it works with my service’s 🫶

🌿 Being Trauma‑Informed (Level 7) What It Really Means….

When I say I’m Trauma‑Informed, it’s not a badge or a buzzword.
It means I’m trained to understand how the nervous system responds to stress, overwhelm, and past experiences and how to support people in a way that feels safe, empowering, and deeply respectful.

It means:

• I recognise how trauma can show up in the body and behaviour
• I prioritise safety, choice, and collaboration
• I support regulation rather than reactivity
• I hold space with compassion, boundaries, and attunement
• I work at your pace, never pushing or overwhelming

This isn’t therapy.
It’s trauma‑informed, integrative coaching grounded in science, compassion, and real‑world tools that help you feel more regulated, connected, and in control of your wellbeing.

What an absolute honour to facilitate alongside Michelle Wilson from Children’s Health Scotland at the Kinship Conference in Edinburgh today. I was genuinely in awe of the incredible facilitators and speakers, being even a small part of the education programme is such a privilege.

Delivering my six‑week health and wellness programme has taught me so much. I learn every single time from the team, and most importantly, from the kinship carers themselves. Their strength, honesty, and commitment to the young people they support is nothing short of inspiring.

Having the chance to make even a small difference in someone’s health and wellbeing is something I’m deeply passionate about. The impact of kinship care is truly remarkable, and I’m grateful to play a tiny part in supporting this community.

🌱 A new year, a new chapter for Grounded with Emma.

After a restorative start to January, I’m excited to share the next evolution of my work. This year, I’m bringing together all my years of study to offer a fully integrated, trauma‑informed approach to health, healing, and wellbeing. My mission remains the same: to support the whole person mind, body, and nervous system in a compassionate, empowering, and accessible way.

I’m expanding my holistic services alongside my one‑to‑one training, with more availability for silent counselling, sound healing sessions, and nervous system–focused therapies. These additions reflect the vision I’ve been building for years: a space where people feel supported, understood, and equipped with tools that genuinely change their lives.

• Kinetic Chain Release Therapy
• Trauma‑Informed Coaching (in person or online)
• Silent Counselling (Rapid Energy Release)

Following the success of last year’s workshops and my first 6‑week Trauma‑Informed Health & Wellness course, I’m delighted to be delivering three new 6‑week programmes for kinship carers through social services. I’ll also be speaking in March about the benefits of trauma‑informed wellbeing — details coming soon.
