I cannot stress enough how amazing all of the undertakers are in the Highlands and Islands for serving their communities during emotional and often tragic times when somone dies but this is a great opportunity to visit Vicki and her team in Inverness and see what can be done when the times arises at their Doors Open Day 28th Feb πŸ’šπŸ©΅πŸ’™

On Saturday 28th February we will be hosting another Doors Open Day at our Chapel Street Funeral Home in Inverness, between 10am and 2pm. Pop along for a β€˜behind the scenes’ peek at our premises, and chat to our friendly team about anything funeral related that is on your mind. The kettle will be on, and our team of funeral directors look forward to welcoming you.

Looking for a wee bit of help with Gaelic phrases for the bottom of stones etc and upgrading our brochure so want to get them bang on and with spelling and grammar! Words and phrases can differ from island/area even from village to village! Things like "forever in our hearts - nar cridhe a-chaoidh" "until the day break - gus am bris an lΓ /latha" etc
Let me know in the comments what phrases you like or would use πŸ©΅πŸ’šπŸ’™ mΓ²ran taing

Grief redraws the map of daily life without asking. The world looks unchanged, yet its meaning shifts in ways that can catch you off guard.

Growth with grief is often subtle: relearning how to be in old spaces, adjusting to new rhythms and accepting or seeking help when life feels difficult.

Follow the paths that feel steady right now. New ones will open when you’re ready.

Thank you to Jeanann, Ally and Liam's family for allowing us to share his beautiful memorial. The photos at the top were put together to make a really personal picture of Liam and the tiny details the etcher have picked out are amazing. We worked with Liam's family to get the memorial perfect for them. Every memorial hits home, but this one hit me hard. Sending loads of love and hugs to the Stewart/Stevenson family πŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ©΅
