Very happy to assist Jill from Iner Sense having her self-care time 🤩
💫 Self-care isn’t a luxury 💫
It’s maintenance. It’s medicine. It’s necessary.
Meet Julia 🫶
This week I had the most incredible home massage from Julia’s Holistic Room
Living rurally, treatments often mean planning ahead, travelling, and factoring in extra time and energy. So having someone come to my home felt like such a treat — but more than that, it removed barriers. It allowed me to fully relax without the rush, without the drive afterwards, without switching straight back into “doing mode.” That in itself felt like a huge part of the self-care.
From the moment she arrived, she was warm, professional and completely grounded. She created such a calm, safe space in my own home — something that feels so important when we’re talking about true relaxation.
As someone who runs sound baths and wellness events, I hold space for others to rest, regulate and reconnect.
As a mental health support worker I talk every day about nervous system regulation, boundaries and sustainable self-care.
But here’s the truth — we have to practise what we preach.
Booking that massage wasn’t indulgent. It was intentional.
It was me regulating my own nervous system.
It was me protecting my energy so I can continue to support others in a meaningful way.
Self-care doesn’t have to be extravagant. It can look like:
✨ Booking the massage
✨ Lying down at a sound bath
✨ Saying no without guilt
✨ Taking 5 minutes to breathe
✨ Reaching out for support
Whether you’re caring for others, working in mental health, parenting, running a business or simply navigating life - your wellbeing matters too.
Whatever it is you’ve been thinking about, whatever makes you happy - do it!
Take this as your sign ❤️.
