Get involved ❤️❤️

Our next “Kick About” will take place this coming Thursday the 31st of August at 7:30pm.

This weeks session is in Forres, at Grant Park, we would like to extend our thanks to Forres Soccer 7s for partnering with us for this session, allowing us to use their facilities. Soccer 7’s are a charity with a focus on youth football In the Forres area, make sure to check them out & give them a follow.

We should be quite visible (look for the flag) but if you’re struggling to find us, just head to the Soccer 7’s/Bowl’s pavilion and you’ll see us there.

Sessions are completely free, we want anyone struggling to be able to take part, regardless of their financial situation.

If you can however, we’d greatly appreciate if you can make a small donation, we are a nonprofit & rely on the kindness of friends, family, strangers & businesses to maintain this club. We can take cash at the sessions themselves, we have merch & kits for sale via the link in our bio & we have a “Go Fund Me”.

As always we encourage inclusivity, so regardless of your age (over 16 only) gender & playing/fitness levels feel free to come down. As an inclusive group we stand against all forms of discrimination, so any & all discriminatory language or attitude is prohibited, everyone taking part must add positivity to a safe mental health environment.

These sessions are about having a laugh, meeting people, making friends & promoting positive mental health conversations. Whether that be with us, friends, family or our charity partner Mikeysline, who you can text for support on 07786 20 77 55.

No slide tackles, no one wants to get injured in the summer ☀️

Thanks to everyone for their support, we hope to see you there 🤝

Here is something I've been working on behind the scenes and there may be another two parts to come (possibly). This photoshoot with the incredibly talented young Erin Thompson was in aid of mental health to help raise awareness and end stigmas. We may all seem okay on the surface but reality is that we just simply have no clue of what another is going or has gone through... That's where we need the reminder of compassion and to lend a listening ear or even a shoulder to cry on... It really doesn't take much to be that difference. These words laid bare on my body barely even scrape the surface of mental health let alone my own journey. Together we stand in strength and numbers. We are all human and it is okay to not be okay. We are all in this race called life together. We stand united ❤️

The Highlands of Scotland are a lovely place to live. Surely su***de isn't a big problem here?

The National Records of Scotland released a report on "Probable Suicides 2020" on 17th August 2021.

The mortality rate from su***de in 2020 is very similar to 2019 across Scotland (a slight decrease of 3%).

Four council areas had su***de rates that were significantly higher than the average for Scotland as a whole (14.1 deaths per 100,000 people).

These area were:

• Dundee City (23.9)
• Highland (21.8)
• Falkirk (17.1)
• Glasgow City (15.6)

The Highlands are beautiful place to live but for a combination of factors that may include isolation, stigma when talking about mental health, access to the means, too many lives are being lost to death by su***de.

Let's keep working together to change the culture here by talking about mental health, by checking in on each other, by asking for help if we don't feel okay.
