A bit foggy this morning for Reveille at Aldourie Castle, but at least it was mild and playable. Quite a haunting atmosphere.
Who knew that at the age of 18yrs playing Reveille as a Regimental Duty Piper on any given morning, that I'd still be doing it 40+yrs later!!! Not sure I had this in mind but to be honest, it's easy and the anti socialness is reflected in the returns!! 😏

Tonight was the last night of this year's tourist season with JAC Travel, entertaining German guests at the Highland Hotel, Strathpeffer. A lovely bunch of folk and we all had a great chat and laugh together.
Here's looking forward to next season, although it won't be my last appearance at the hotel this year as I've agreed to perform at their Hogmanay event 😁👍

Very excited and privileged to be involved in this anniversary celebration tomorrow morning. Feel free to come along to Inverness Train Station for the 0755am send off, or catch up on BBC Sounds Radio 3.
Hopefully we'll have some video footage of the event as well as the radio recording.
