dōTERRA EO & handcrafted botanical oils Finally, I got my diploma recognised by HCPC as a Physiotherapist and I have started my journey as a Physio now in the UK. I have always liked to treat my patients with a Holistic approach, most importantly, improving physical performance without neglecting to treat our sometimes... or always complicated minds. I feel rewarded when I can help people with their pain management and I strongly believe in the power of the plants & aromatherapy. My aim is to inspire everyone to be more mindful with the use of aromatherapy, crystal healing & manual therapy. Every health condition is co-related to an emotion, trauma or behavioural patterns. It makes total sense to treat mind & body together. Keep that in mind while using my homemade naturally infused oils. Make everyday count with more quality of life!!!

47 weeks of Noah

At this stage, Noah is demonstrating a strong preference for standing, with emerging independent balance. This week we observed a brief episode of unsupported standing while holding a toy with both hands, indicating improving postural control, lower-limb strength, & confidence in upright stance.

We’re encouraging early stepping using a pushable suitcase. Unstable, multidirectional objects increase weight shifting, dynamic balance & trunk activation, which are key prerequisites for independent walking.

Fine motor and cognitive development are also evident. During shape-sorting tasks, Noah persists through trial and error but shows clear frustration when unsuccessful. The physical expression of frustration (banging, facial expression) is developmentally appropriate and reflects motor planning, problem solving, and early emotional regulation.

Overall, this week highlights the interaction between gross motor development, fine motor skill acquisition & emotional regulation.

💬Was your child strongly motivated to stand before taking independent steps? Share your experience below.

Baby bath toys are adorable, but when they fill with water, moisture gets trapped inside and that’s the perfect environment for mold and bacteria to grow.

In this reel, I’m showing how I deep-clean sq**rt bath toys by flushing the inside with hot water and distilled vinegar. Squeezing the solution into the toys helps break down buildup you can’t see, keeping bath time cleaner and safer for your baby.

This is one of those small cleaning habits that makes a big difference, especially for toys that go straight into little mouths.

👉 Save this for your next toy clean and share it with another parent who needs this reminder.

Homemade wraps, part 3 🌾

I’ve officially tested all three versions and honestly… I can’t decide which one I love most.

This wrap series started with no additives, no preservatives, no supermarket extras… just simple ingredients you can trust.

✨ Version 1: 100% plain flour
✨ Version 2: 50/50 plain & wholemeal
✨ Version 3: 100% wholemeal

Each one has a different texture, flavour, and vibe. All homemade from scratch.

👉 If you missed it, I’ve linked here my second reel and from second reel you can see the first reel linked where I show the step-by-step wrap tutorial so you can make them yourself at home.

💬 Now tell me… which one are you choosing: plain, 50/50, or wholemeal?

French Shortcrust Pastry (Pâte Brisée) – round two and redemption achieved 🙌✨

First attempt? Burned cheese twists (too thin + baked too long 😅).

Second attempt? Doubled the dough, cut them wider, adjusted the baking time… and perfect golden twists!

No blind baking — just straight into the oven at 180°C until lightly golden and crisp.
What made the difference:
✔️ Proper thickness (not too thin!)
✔️ Cold butter = flaky layers
✔️ Gentle handling (no kneading)
✔️ Keeping an eye on the bake 👀

Pâte brisée may be simple, but technique changes everything.

💾 Save this for your next savoury bake 😉

💬 Would you try these with cheese or a sweet filling?

46 weeks of Noah 🤍

From standing to back down to the floor with control, pausing confidently in a deep squat, and rising from the floor with supported hands on the wall 🙌

These transitions show developing lower limb strength, balance, core control & motor planning.

He’s also becoming more aware of head positioning (after a few inevitable bumps 😅), which is a key part of postural control and spatial awareness at this stage.

And big brother stepping in with a little head massage support 💙 because regulation and reassurance matter just as much as movement.

Every baby develops at their own pace and progress isn’t about rushing milestones, it’s about quality of movement.

Homemade wraps: wholemeal variation

As promised, here’s another version of my homemade wraps:

👉 50% plain flour + 50% wholemeal flour

Same method, a bit more fibre and a heartier texture.
I love mine with cream cheese, ham, cheese & rocket 🥬

I keep them wrapped in a tea towel for freshness, but they don’t last more than 2 days as they harden. Still it’s worth it when you’re avoiding all the additives and preservatives found in supermarket wraps.

👉 I’ve linked the previous reel where I show step by step how to make the wrap from scratch

👉 Save this if you like simple, real homemade food

👉 I will try 100% wholemeal next & will share the results. 😉

Got bitter. 🍊😬

45 weeks: learning how to move safely

At this age, movement isn’t about perfection… it’s about problem-solving.

We’ve been practising the transition from standing to sitting, and after a few balance losses, he’s learning something crucial: his body gives him feedback.
That little pause… the hesitant whinge… the thinking before moving, that’s protective responses and risk awareness developing.

From:

• furniture walking
• controlled descents after losing balance
• choosing when it feels safe to sit
• visual–motor play (placing the ball, watching it glide, repeating the task)
• seeking reassurance and feedback

Every fall, pause, and retry is his nervous system learning how to move safely and confidently.

As a physio, I don’t rush these moments. I support controlled movement, reassurance & independence.

✨ Movement first. Confidence follows.

👉 Save this if you’re navigating standing, cruising or early walking

Homemade baked empanadas 🥟 First time & a success

Empanadas originated in Spain and were later adapted across Latin America, with each place creating its own version. There are so many variations in the dough: some rest it in the fridge, some use cold or warm water… it all depends on how you want the texture and whether you’re baking or frying them.

This was my first time making baked empanadas with a thin homemade dough and simple, real ingredients. They turned out amazing. 😋

Proof that you don’t need complicated techniques to make something great from scratch.

👉 Save this for later
👉 Should I share the filling recipe next? Tell me yes or no in the comments

Back where my heart has always been 💙

After returning from maternity leave in December, I couldn’t find physio bank shifts, so I continued taking my Band 3 nurse assistant shifts: the role where my NHS journey began 4 years ago.

Since September 2024 I’ve been working physio bank shifts, but I kept one nurse assistant shift a week to stay active on the bank… and because I genuinely love the role.

Now I’ve finally secured physio bank shifts at New Craigs Hospital for first time, the place I’ve always hoped to work as a physio. I’ve spent so much of my NHS journey in New Craigs Hospital as a nurse assistant, and I’ve loved every ward, every team, and working within mental health.
Feeling grateful, proud, and very happy

Starting this new experience very soon and I can’t wait!!!

✨✨✨

🤍 If you’re navigating career shifts, maternity return, or trusting the long road… keep going.

🥔 Homemade potato gnocchi: simple, real ingredients.

Gnocchi has its roots in Northern Italy, traditionally made with potatoes and flour long before ultra-processed foods existed.

Making gnocchi at home means no preservatives, no additives and no fillers. Store-bought versions often contain stabilisers and unnecessary extras to extend shelf life.

I served mine with a tomato sugo, but gnocchi is incredibly versatile: butter + sage, pesto, olive oil and parmesan, or a light cream sauce all work beautifully.
