Hot 🔥 or Cold 🥶 Therapy
Knowing when to use hot or cold therapy impacts recovery. Usually, start with cold to reduce swelling and pain, then switch to heat to soothe stiffness and promote healing. Additionally cold relieves nerve pain, heat alleviates muscle discomfort. For contrast baths, alternate warm (5 min) and cold (1 min) waters to ease pain, reduce swelling, and speed recovery.
