🎄 𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 🦌

This December, colleagues, residents, families and friends from across all 27 Meallmore care homes came together to do something truly special.

Through our Meallmore Reindeer Run, we collectively:
✔ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝟰,𝟴𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀
✔ 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 £𝟮,𝟮𝟲𝟬 𝗳𝗼𝗿 Cash for Kids – 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀
✔ 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟱𝟬 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 to support children and families across our local communities

From walking, wheeling, cycling and adapting activities, to festive costumes, creativity and teamwork, this was a challenge that everyone could be part of — and that’s what made it so powerful.

More than a fundraiser, the Reindeer Run was about:
💚 Inclusion and connection
💚 Bringing people together
💚 Supporting families beyond our homes
💚 Showing what’s possible when communities work as one

A huge thank you to every resident, colleague, family member and supporter who took part, donated, cheered us on or helped make this happen. This is what makes Meallmore such a special community - and why we’re so proud of the people who live and work in our homes.

What a way to finish the year. 🎄✨

Meallmore’s Reindeer Run saw 27 care homes travel 4,800 miles, raising £2,260 and donating over 250 gifts for Cash for Kids.

🎄✨ Christmas magic at Daviot! ✨🎄

Our residents had a truly wonderful time enjoying the Christmas Pantomime MacRobinson Crusoe, performed by the fantastic Trapeze Entertainment

There was plenty of laughter, joyful singing, and lots of smiles all around. It was heart-warming to see everyone joining in the festive fun together – a perfect way to celebrate the season with our community🎭

A big thank you to our colleagues and Christmas Pantomime MacRobinson Crusoe team, who helped make the day so special!

🦌✨ Reindeer Run – Day 2: Best Dressed Team! ✨🦌

Day 2 of our Reindeer Run at Daviot Care Centre has been full of festive sparkle, and our best dressed team certainly stole the show! 🎄

Residents and colleagues had a brilliant time cheering them on — lots of laughter, creativity and Christmas spirit all round. 🎅

🎄 Melvin the Meallmore Elf has officially landed at Daviot… and let’s just say Elf & Safety has LEFT the building!

Today’s highlights included:
🧯 A very serious “Elf & Safety Meeting” 🤦‍♀️
🍪 The total destruction of our gingerbread village - no regrets were shown
🎱 A highly suspicious game of pool (we’re fairly sure he cheated)
🎤 Crashing karaoke and insisting on singing every verse
🎬 Breaking into the cinema, stealing the popcorn and choosing the movie
🚐 Then - because why not - he stole a vehicle and headed for his next adventure…

Daviot survived Day 4 of the Meallmore Reindeer Run mascot madness.

☃️ The snow has returned to Daviot… and so have our adorable chocolate snowmen!⛄

Lovingly crafted by our talented Activities Coordinator, Gillian, these sweet treats are bringing smiles all around!

We’re selling them for just £2 each to raise funds for Seagull Trust Highland, a wonderful charity that offers boat cruises - an experience truly cherished by our residents 🚤💙

Cruises is run entirely by volunteers and depends on the kindness of supporters to continue its incredible work

Spooky spirits and joyful laughter filled the air as our residents at Daviot embraced the Halloween magic! From charming costumes to sweet treats, it was a day full of smiles, surprises, and shared moments.

A big thank you to our wonderful colleagues who helped bring the fun to life and made sure everyone felt included and celebrated. 🧙

We’ve just celebrated an amazing 303 years of combined service from our incredible colleagues who’ve been with us for over 5 years! 💙

To honour their commitment, we gathered together for a joyful celebration filled with laughter, appreciation, and a delicious buffet lovingly prepared by our talented chefs!

🌸 A Blooming Surprise at Daviot! 🌸

We had a lovely visit from a kind-hearted individual who popped by with a beautiful donation of flowers from Lidl Inverness. Our amazing activities colleagues and wonderful residents were absolutely delighted! 💐

The residents had a fantastic time arranging the flowers, filling the home with colour, joy, and the sweet scent of kindness. It’s amazing how something so simple can brighten everyone’s day!

☕🎂 What a sweet success at Daviot!

Sean’s delicious cakes were the star of our Macmillan Coffee Morning, and thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised £50.02 to support Macmillan Cancer Support people living with cancer 💚

A huge thank you to our amazing colleagues and residents who made it such a special event. Every slice and sip made a difference!

📚✨ Supporting Growth & Learning at Daviot Care Home 💙

This morning, we welcomed Lorna, our Learning and Development Facilitator, for one of her regular visits to the home. She spent time delivering training to our dedicated colleagues and met with management to plan future in-house sessions 🗂️🧠

We’re committed to ensuring our team stays up to date with the latest skills and knowledge — all to provide the very best care and support to our residents 💐
