As 2025 comes to a close, we look back on a year of progress across the Parklands group.

From opening our new 58 bed Pittyvaich care home in Inverness to launching new partnerships with Highland Hospice and Mikeysline, it has been a year marked by investment in the communities and people we serve. We have also been proud to receive multiple awards recognising our work in wellbeing, innovation and community impact and, of course, we are delighted that our sister home Eilean Dubh in Fortrose was named Regional Care Home of the Year Scotland.

Thank you to our teams, residents, families and communities for everything you do. We look forward to what 2026 will bring.

As 2025 comes to a close, our Managing Director Ron Taylor reflects on a landmark year for Parklands and looks ahead to what’s next.

"I'm just as passionate now as I was 32 years ago when I started the business. We're always looking for ways to improve and deliver the best care possible for our residents," says Ron.

We would like to thank our friends from Inshes East for the lovely church service this afternoon, the residents enjoyed singing the carols followed by the cuppa and chat.

This morning we managed a walk around the gardens and checked out Honest's handiwork at the front door before the fog came in. We then retired to the cosy kettle for a cuppa to warm ourselves up along with a blether.
Today we have a lovely pic of Elizabeth and her visitors and one of Ernie before his afternoon workout which you can see in the next post.

This morning Inverness had disappeared into the mist, but that was ok - here at Pittyvaich some of the residents came together to work off their Christmas dinners at the armchair exercise class in the morning before getting ready to celebrate our December birthdays with a party this afternoon. We were singing and dancing and above all having fun together 💃🕺🎵🎶☺️

A special thank you to our care teams who are spending Christmas with residents, away from their own families. Thank you for your dedication and hard work.

What a wonderful view we have up here at Pittyvaich, it changes so often depending on the weather.
Here is our resident Ruth with her granddaughter and family who popped up to see her today - we love family visits 😊

It's beginning to sound a lot like Christmas here at Pittyvaich - our resident Lucy's grandson Doug came in to entertain our residents by playing the sax this afternoon - we also had a visit from a stray turkey too 😂😂😂
