🥯💛 A Taste of Home for Rena at Grove! 💛🍳

When our residents ask for something special, our amazing colleagues always do their very best to make it happen — and today was a perfect example! 💕

Rena, who was born in Glasgow and spent much of her adult life in Fife, had been really missing her beloved Glasgow well‑fired rolls 🥯. So, our fantastic Activities Manager Sam went above and beyond, bringing some all the way from Cumbernauld — and we were ever so grateful! 💛

To make it even better, our Activity Co‑ordinator Roberta fried up a wee egg and served it just the way Rena loves it

A simple gesture, a familiar taste, and a moment that absolutely made her day. These thoughtful touches mean the world to our residents — and to us 🥰✨

🧶💛 Supporting “Fish and Chip Babies” – A Heart‑Warming Act of Kindness at Grove 💛🧶

Here at Grove Care Home, our residents and colleagues love getting involved in meaningful projects — and this one is especially close to the heart 💕

The term “Fish and Chip Babies” is used by charities supporting newborns in some of the poorest parts of the world, where families often have very little. Many organisations work hard to provide knitted clothing to help keep these little ones warm, safe and cared for 🧸🌍

Our lovely resident Rena has decided to knit jumpers for this wonderful cause, putting so much love and care into every stitch 🧶💛
She’s also had some fantastic support from Jackie, our Senior Nurse, who has lovingly knitted a beautiful blanket to add to the collection 💕🧵

It’s inspiring to see such kindness, generosity and community spirit — small acts that make a big difference to those who need it most ❤️✨

💛🧶 It’s the Little Things That Make All the Difference 🧶💛

At Grove Care Home, we love celebrating the meaningful moments — and this is one that truly touched our hearts ✨
Rena had stopped knitting for many years after experiencing a stroke. She once lovingly knitted cable sweaters for her late husband, who worked in the Navy, but had lost the confidence to pick up her needles again 💛🧵

That all changed when our colleague Roberta, our Activities Co‑ordinator, made a small mistake in her own knitting. Without hesitation, Rena picked up the stitches for her — and something beautiful began 💕

Since that moment, a few months ago, Rena now knits every single day, rediscovering a passion that once meant so much to her. Her new project is especially meaningful: she’s knitting jumpers for the Fish and Chip Babies charity, helping support newborns in need around the world 💕

Annabell shared her own knitting project with Rena — a lovely moment of companionship, creativity and shared joy 🥰

These small interactions can spark confidence, independence and happiness…
It truly is the little things that make all the difference 💛🌼

Who doesn’t love a Cornetto? 😍
After a busy afternoon making — and enjoying — pancakes, our residents were absolutely over the moon with a sweet ice‑cream treat to finish the day! 🥞➡️🍦✨

It’s always the little things that bring the biggest smiles, and today was full of them — laughter, treats and happy moments shared together 💛

❤️🍽️ A Special Valentine’s Meal at Grove 🍽️❤️

A huge thank you to our wonderful Head Chef Cat, who put together the most lovely Valentine’s Day meal for our residents and their loved ones 💕✨

The food was beautifully prepared with so much care, making the day feel extra special for everyone. Moments like these — shared meals, warm company and thoughtful touches — are what Valentine’s Day is all about ❤️🌹

We’re incredibly grateful for Cat’s dedication and creativity in the kitchen, helping make the celebration memorable for all 💛

🧣❄️ Keeping Cozy at Grove! ❄️🧣

Arlene has been busy putting out the beautiful donated blankets we received from our local church at Christmas — and they’ve certainly come in handy! 💛

It was affa cold outside, but these lovely blankets have helped keep everyone warm and cosy.
Such thoughtful gifts make a real difference, and we are truly grateful for the kindness shown to our residents 🌼💖

A little warmth goes a long way on chilly days like this! ❄️

We had a truly lovely Valentine’s celebration here at Grove Care Home 💕✨
Our residents welcomed their better halves for a special meal, complete with Prosecco and delicious chocolate‑covered strawberries.

The atmosphere was full of warmth, laughter and plenty of cherished moments shared between loved ones 🍓🥂💛

🚶‍♀️🌄 Grove’s Sponsored Walk – Bennachie, Here We Come! 🌄🚶‍♂️

We’re excited to announce that we will be taking on a Sponsored Walk, climbing Bennachie on 28th March 2026, to help raise funds for our garden renovation project! 🌿✨

This special walk is not only a fantastic challenge but also a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, enjoy the fresh air and support a meaningful cause that will benefit everyone at Grove 💛🌸

Every step taken will help us transform our garden into a beautiful, accessible and relaxing space for our residents to enjoy all year round 🌼🌳
