If you understand that emotion and trauma are stored in the body, then you know you can’t simply talk your way out of them.
It can feel like a catch-22: the mind builds fear about “going back,” while the body actually needs safety in order to release what’s been held.
When the body feels safe, you’re not reliving those experiences as they were before. Instead, there’s often a sense of relief as the body finally lets go.
This sense of safety signals that it’s okay to express energy that has been trapped in a holding pattern. Often, a wave of energy moves through the entire body, as if the whole system is being updated.
That’s where it gets exciting as when you return to your life and begin to notice what has shifted, and what has changed for the better.
It’s an experience that has to be felt and most people leave saying they didn’t know it was possible to feel this way.
I’m not exaggerating when I say it boosts people’s lives, I saw someone recently who said that it totally changed the way she thought about herself and now she knows she’s a better person to be around.
