1. Informational. external things like the weather, another person, what you had for breakfast

2. Personal. what’s happening in your world right now, what you notice about yourself and your experiences

3. Relational. being with you I feel… deeper levels of vulnerability, speaking of the present moment

Not much can be learned about the self from within comfort zones, it’s when we step beyond the comfort that we grow

When we speak about what makes us excited, what we feel passionate about and feels meaningful sparks sensation in the body to be felt by yourself and others.

Understanding how to develop a somatic awareness means to feel and notice the sensations of the body as they happen. This enhances your overall capacity to feel and experience your life

Speak about the weather and surface level conversations and it’s a flat non-descript experience that is filing gaps

Speak about feelings, that’s where we can relate to each other and grow stronger together.

Combine this with listening with your full attention and having time to observe you leave feeling deeply nourished in human connection

The sort of stuff that makes us feel most alive, confident and calm

All my injuries havnt been just about healing the physical they have been directly linked to emotional stories.

ANY sensation, feeling, pain, discomfort that appears has an underlying meaning

The signal from the body is to get your attention

Learn the bodies language, see the bigger meaning. That’s how I worked my way back to health

Food is the quickest and easiest way of soothing ourselves when we have difficult feelings

Those that battle with fluctuating weight and body image might find it relieving to hear that it’s never been your discipline, your genes, your metabolism.

It goes way deeper, the intelligence of your body, these cravings are a signal that something is missing but it’s not food.

The mind has found a quick fix for now but we find something much more helpful.

When we listen to the meaning behind why these strong feelings are there, that is where the power lays.

Shall we do this thing together? Connect the mind to the body to understand what’s underneath the language of emotion, sensation and get the mind on board.

Who knows, you might just start liking and being kind to yourself 🥰✨

The next time you find yourself craving something, STOP take 3 deep breaths and ask yourself what it is you really need.

Even with NINJA REACTIONS like this I still got hit by a motorbike!!

This is something that challenges my mind, “wouldn’t I of heard a motorbike and dived out of the way??”

My reactions are good, I’d make a good ninja I think. See Tina Powick latest post for more on that if you wish!

But hey, I also believe that there aren’t such things as “accidents” and from that experience who I am today and how fit and healthy my body is; what if it was alllll worthwhile for the long game✨✨✨

The body thrives on variety.
We aren’t designed to move in just one way or repeat the same patterns over and over.

Mixing up how you move to build both strength, stamina and flexibility is essential. Your body needs a wide range of movement experiences to support true health and optimal performance, not only physically, but emotionally and energetically too ✨

Seems sad to see that there’s a real lack of decent referees around, is it just me or does anyone else find this too?

While I don’t envy the job given the abuse and pressure (not just from players but lots from the sideline particular with young sides), it’s hurting the game.

A strong ref sets the tone so players can trust the fairness and just play football.

Last Sunday I lost my zen. With unfair tackles not being pulled up, the game got dangerous. The other team knew technically we were the better side so took full advantage.

After being kicked, elbowed, fouled plus hearing a lovely threat of a “free nose job” to one of my teammates that was it for me.

I tried reasoning. It didn’t work. I got wound up, lost focus, and was rightly subbed off. Their plan worked… but I’d already scored, so karma felt balanced.

Lesson learned: next time I’ll laugh it off and score more goals 🥰✨

Still buzzing about that finish though it’s best feeling ever ☺️

Where’s that actually getting you?

There is a way to take back your energy by seeing where patterns of doubting yourself allowed this behaviour to happen in the first place.

Focussing on yourself and your growth rather than the never ending search to understand their behaviour!

Where might you override your intuition for need of connection for example?

This is how I went from being in a battle with life, questioning whether to continue…

To believing that anything is possible and being back on the football pitch scoring again 💛💫🔥

This is my story of not giving up, this is the result of working at life to bring the hope, to experience the power of love and to take full responsibility for everything

Multiple times I couldve got stuck in the stories and added to the pain of how bad things were but these are 7 things I did instead:

1. I chose to see what each challenge of injury, grief, hardship, relationship was teaching me

2. I started to see reasons why what happened helped me in some way

3. I forgave myself and understood why it was important to forgive others

4. I brought back my energy from blaming others to focussing it on myself

5. I practiced being comfortable with the uncomfortable and comforted myself

6. I studied and observed where my thoughts were adding to my pain, my suffering and draining my energy

7. I chose to use what’s happened and turn it into something helpful not just for me but for everyone

I was told I’d be in pain forever, I had PTSD, that I wouldn’t be able to have children, this is absolute evidence that you can overcome anything if you want to!!!!!!

“If you really want to” being the operative statement here!!

Whatever you’ve been prescribed, told, labelled with it’s up to you if you identify with that or if you want to break free of it.

It’s up to you- and you can start to look at in what way identifying with the labels helps you in some way.
✨Do you get money? ✨Do you get more attention being unwell? ✨Does it stop you from doing what you know you need to do but it’s a reason why you don’t have to?

These questions run way deeper when you go properly into them and find your inner child connection

It starts with body awareness and I’m here for any questions….

Ps here’s the goal we scored, great passing and supportive positions by finding the space by the team and I get to finish it with the goal ⚽️

Anything is possible if your willing to do the work ✨
