An experience to remember. At 7am on Sunday we completed a 5km “ruck” around, up, around some more, down and through Stadium - finishing next to the pitch! It was a beautiful morning and such a great start to the day.

The fight to stop myself running on to the pitch and through the sprinklers at the end though was real…. 🤣

Everyone wore a weighted backpack or vest and we carried a 20kg plate between us. As someone who hasn’t rucked before, it showed me how fun walking with weight can be. So thank you to and for taking us out! As well as .official for organising it. I should also thank the whole rucking team for coping with my leadership energy at that time in the morning 😄😅! It was a pleasure walking with and chatting to everyone in that group.

So. I’d like to do some more Rucks! Anyone fancy joining me for some FTF rucking in Suffolk? 😃 - I’m counting on some of you raising your hands!

I’ve had lots of questions about our comp at the weekend (thanks everyone 🥰) so here’s a little post. We went up as loners but made new friends & 😘, also realised another friend pair were there which was great (non instagrammers)! We would have had no photos to share without these guys - some are corkers 🤣.

Results wise: It looks like we have won our age group in Birmingham! 🏆 and have taken 3rd overall against all the whippersnappers! 🥳🥳🥳 . 485 mixed pairs took to the floor! Proud.

Current standings of all the other competitions nationally puts us at 4th in age group and 19th overall. 3 comps remaining to see whether we get to finals in Dec. TBC.

There were many, but to single out my favourite high of the day, the 5 rep max back squat: I lifted
98kg 💪 and husband managed an easy 155kg, wished he had time for 160kg, that would have been his! 💪.

Best way to spend a Sunday. Oh PS, once home we had pizza and then sat in the tub 😄🥰
