😳 A morning routine turned into a horror scene.

In 2017, Andrew Hall did what millions of people do every day — he picked up his e-cigarette, took a puff… and in the next second, his entire world exploded.
Literally.

The v**e detonated inside his mouth.

The blast was so violent it:

🦷 Blew out 7 teeth
🔥 Burned the skin off the side of his face
🫁 Sent molten plastic fragments down his throat
💥 Launched metal shrapnel across his bathroom
🩸 Left him choking, bleeding, and unable to breathe

He was rushed to ICU, where surgeons removed melted debris from his airway and treated massive burns.
Doctors said the device behaved “like a small pipe bomb.”

And the terrifying part?

👉 He’d been using that same v**e for months with zero signs of danger.

E-cigarettes don’t just cause lung injury.
They can fail catastrophically — from battery overheating, poor manufacturing, or cheap aftermarket chargers — turning a ni****ne habit into a life-altering trauma.

⚠️ If you v**e or someone you love does, remember this:

• Never charge overnight
• Never use off-brand batteries
• Replace damaged coils/batteries immediately
• Stop if you feel heat or hear popping
• And understand: the safest v**e is no v**e

One second is all it takes for “just a v**e” to become a 3rd-degree burn, missing teeth, and a lifetime of reconstructive surgeries.

We are off to Halesworth soon to our lovely client, The World Land Trust, who do amazing work across the world to protect habitat and wildlife. They are also really great with first aid and we have trained many of their staff through their full EFAW Qualification. We have been invited to their open day today and are really happy to be going along for a couple of hours to give the opportunity to all their other staff to have a go at CPR, using an AED and the choking vest. It is so important for more people to learn these basic skills which may help to save lives.
