JRSTT My name is John Reynolds (JR) and I live and work in Ipswich and the surrounding Eastern region and also London on an adhoc basis.

Functional Movement * Injury & Imbalance Correction * Biomechanics * Strength & Conditioning * Injury Rehab & Prevention * Nutrition * Coach * Gait * Rehab * Massage * Posture I am a keen runner and spend as much time as I can in my trail shoes. I am a functional movement and injury rehabilitation specialist, actively involved in sport in the community at both grassroots and higher level. My work covers form and multi-directional movement biomechanics, injury assessment and rehab, remedial and sports massage, postural assessment, one-to-one coaching, and pitch-side support. I also work with the Core Club Online community to prevent injury through developing capabilities around balance, posture, form, footfall, strength and conditioning. Core Club Online is a life's work. Core Club Online is movement not exercise.

I have studied extensively and my qualifications are recognised nationally and in many other countries as well. They enable me as a functional movement specialist to practice independently and also to obtain full comprehensive insurance cover. I am also a Level 4 Qualified Kinesiology Taping Specialist as well as being Pitch Side First Aid/Trauma and AED qualified. Please take a look at www.jrstt.co.uk to find out more.

So pleased for Jennie. She’s 10 weeks in across five face to face sessions and is now 7kg down.

I’ve started to throw harder and harder sessions at her both mental and physical, and she’s proving herself to be super resilient.

Well done Jennie, keep it going.

Congratulations to Sammy Spencer who has now qualified to represent GB at age grade Duathlon at next year’s European Championships in Spain.

Having set the goal she’s been quietly working towards it with determination and focus. To be honest she’s got there a little earlier than we planned, but that’s just testament to the many hours she’s put in across elements of her training here at The Lab, on her nutrition, her maintenance rehab, her running and her recovery.

Once again hard work, focus and determination pays off.

Well done Sammy, so pleased for you.

If you have an idea that you’d like to explore turning into a goal then please drop me a line to start talking about athlete training and support for 2026.

It’s never too late to move more than you currently do. Whatever your motivation, doing it has far more benefits than not doing it.

In one of the most astonishing feats in ultrarunning history, Aleksandr Sorokin completed 100 kilometers in an astonishing 6 hours, 5 minutes, and 41 seconds, averaging a blistering 3:39 per kilometer. To put that into perspective: it’s the equivalent of running ten consecutive 10Ks in under 36 minutes each, without a single pause.

Even more inspiring? Sorokin didn’t start running until 2013. At 31 years old and weighing 100 kg, he laced up his shoes simply to lose weight.

Eight years later, he rewrote the record books.

When he crossed the finish line, there were no dramatic celebrations. Just a quiet fist in the air and a simple truth:
“It’s all about patience.”

A world record. A powerful transformation. A reminder that it’s never too late to start.

A decent week of heavy recovery post 13 Valleys which saw me run 127.95 miles in a race billed as 115 miles with the late diversion change the night before. There were some incredible highs but I think my top three were …

1. Realising I was above the clouds as the sun came up and the light came with it on the second morning.

2. Being part of a really sold shift into pace as the torrential rain finally came as we ran into Grasmere off the mountains for an hour or so on the Saturday night. I loved the sharing of the load by this small group, the silence and the collective will to get it done.

3. Realising I’d got it done as I crossed the finish line and finally stopped running.

It’s an epic race. Not doing it again but I will be back to volunteer.

Now to get back to it and try and run fast at Scenic 7.

Just move.

Don’t sit still waiting for it to get better, don’t take tablets to the point where you can’t reference any pain changes.

Just move.

Really pleased to have been able to help Molly this past week with some deep tissue release and mobility work whilst she was here in the UK.

She and the rest of her team are now getting ready to create history by filling a gap in history.

Despite the rich maritime history of humankind, no all-female crew has ever made it around the world non-stop and unassisted. The Famous Project CIC exists in its current form to take on this challenge, 25 years after Tracy Edwards’ all-female team attempted in 1998 with their goal to become the first all-female team in history to take on this global record.

Best of luck ladies 🙏 we’re all rooting for you!! 👊

So pleased for Sarah.

11.25kg down and smashing it. No diets, no special powders, just real food and an understanding of how it all fits together.

What a journey you’re on Sarah. Surgery, more surgery, spanners in the works, you name it. But you keep turning up and getting it done. Truly inspirational. Well done!

The JRSTT Narrative

Soft Tissue Therapy * Biomechanics * Imbalance Correction * Strength & Conditioning * Injury Rehab * Coach * Nutrition * Pitch-side Support * Kinesio Taping * Core Club My studies have covered all aspects of soft tissue techniques, anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, postural assessment, remedial massage, coaching and the management of clients in a client empowering environment. I treat clients who have musculoskeletal injury, pain or dysfunction caused by any of life’s stresses and from all walks of life. Although sport is a common factor with many my clients symptoms, it is far from being the only issue I deal with. Soft Tissue Therapy integrates three essential clinical elements: Assessment Applying a range of assessment methods to determine whether Soft Tissue Therapy is appropriate and devise a suitable treatment plan for the individual client. Treatment Applying a range of soft tissue techniques (including massage) to aid recovery from injury and improve soft tissue condition and joint mobility. Rehabilitation Offering advice on a range of remedial exercises and lifestyle factors aimed at speeding up recovery, preventing injury recurrence as well as improving posture, performance and function.

Core Club is all about movement. A developmental platform aimed at all abilities to enable people to build stronger more efficient bodies for life as well as creating advantages in sport. It is very different. I also have advanced Level 4 recognised taping capabilities and qualifications.

Always happy to talk things through if you'd like to get in touch.
