𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝!

So today, I am posting, because I am looking for a new PA to come and hang out with me and have some fun times!

Said PA would be doing up to approximately 15hrs a week with possibility more in the future. Those hours would include PA helping me with my personal care, preparing any meals that I would have, as well as drinks and other physical help I may need. At times, there would also be various medications needing to be given and certain medical equipment needed to be used more than other times, depending on my health.

And of course, among all this, I'm sure we'll have plenty of fun together!

To know a little bit about me, I am an often-happy individual, with a wild imaginition, which I like to put to good use to write stories! Yes, that's right, stories. I have a love for creative writing, so often I like writing stories, as mentioned above, or some days, if I'm not feeling quite up to that, I will do some sort of text roleplaying with a friend that revolves one of my many favourite fandoms, like Marvel/MCU movies, the Teen Wolf TV show and many others.

I also enjoying reading (something I do for both enjoyment and to help me study writing techniques) and basically anything arts and crafts based.

I know a lot of people are having to self-isolate at the moment and I know a lot of you are/will be finding it mentally difficult to deal with, so I thought I'd write a little something here about it all.

──────⊹⊱✫⊰⊹──────

My Thoughts...
So, first of all, I know it's hard. Everything probably seems slightly surreal. I mean, it almost seems like something out of a film, BUT...there's always a bright side to these things (as impossible as it might seem in these situations).
Think of it this way. Do you ever find yourself rushing around, doing way too much and before you know it, the weeks over? Well, think of our current situation as a way to slow down, to experience each day without it passing us by in the blink of an eye.
For those of us who's self-isolating with their household family members, think of this as a way to spend quality time with them; you might be thinking it could be hard having to spend days/weeks (depending on how long you're isolating for) with these people without a break from them, but when this is all over, it can turn into a shared memory...a memory of how you all survived and you did it TOGETHER.

The Word, 'Together'...
In my opinion, it's an important word for our current situation, because this isn't something that's happening just in this country, it's happening world wide...we're all experiencing it TOGETHER.

This article is so good at highlighting the importance for the need of Changing Places. Not even my college, where, although there are two Changing Places, there are too many students that have to use this facility, so there's always a wait. This isn't right.

It's so unfair that people either have to get changed on a dirty, unsanitary bathroom floor, or, in my case, have to sit in a soaking wet pad, which, if left for too long, can cause me to get sore, and I don't just suffer from it just in the time I'm waiting to use the Changing Place...I can often suffer for quite a few days after.

It is not widely known, but Santa is an equal-opportunities employer. Every Elf is encouraged to fulfill their full potential and every Elf is valued equally. Which is why Santa has been rather cro…

As you all know, this was my first week back at Suffolk One college and boy has it been stressful already! 😅

My first day back was...interesting. My Dad and I had a meeting during the holidays with my Occupational Therapist and we had all agreed that I needed a mattress to lie on when having personal care in college (because the changing bench I had to use was too hard and causing my spinal rods to bruise the bottom of my back internally and caused me a lot of pain). Before going into college, my Dad and I found out that the OT spoke to the people in charge of the spLSA's (1:1 Learning Support Assistants), and THEY said a mattress would most likely be too heavy to lift, be a health and safety risk and also, my OT said that she needed to work out how to get the funding for the mattress blah blah blah (which, she already had 8-10 weeks to work out)...and that me and my spLSA would have to problem solve together and work out something else I could lay on...MY DAD AND I HAD ALREADY DECIDED THAT ONLY A MATTRESS WOULD WORK 😤...anyway...so the first day, I had to cope with the pain of the hard bench. Meanwhile, my Dad had to use his first day free from me, to get in contact with the appropriate people and see what he could do, so that I could have a mattress like I needed. Whilst doing what had to be done, he found out that the mattress only weighs 10 kilos (so perfectly OK to lift onto a changing bench...). I get home and find I'm already slightly bruised on the bottom of my back (it HAD healed over the summer), and decide that if NOTHING gets sorted, I'd have to stop going into college...because...well OBVIOUSLY I can't keep being in immense pain (although, not that ANY of these people seem to care about that...). Skip to my second college day of the week: still nothing sorted. Have personal care and get in even more pain. I ALSO get questioned as to why I take my suction machine into the Changing Place...urgh...BECAUSE IF I DON'T, I COULD CHOKE ON MY OWN SALIVA AND DIE YOU IDIOTS (and I don't care what you TA's say...who cares if it's "unhygienic"...I'd rather be "unhygienic" than die 🤬)! By the end of the day, when my Dad picked me up from college, he told me he'd sorted things out, so that by next week (because, of course, something like that coudn't be sorted sooner, could it? 🙄), I can have a mattress in college! Unfortunately though, because everybody's unorganisation before I went back to college, I couldn't go in today, because, as I already explained, I don't want to get myself injured anymore than I already am, so, you know...WHAT A GREAT FIRST WEEK BACK I'VE HAD! 😅

So, now that my rant is over, I'd like to thank my Dad for sorting everything out in only two days! I saw how stressed and annoyed this fiasco made you and I want you to know I fully appreciate it, especially since you did it during your free time away from me, which you could've spent getting on with other things that you needed to do. I love you loads and loads...THANK YOU! 😘 ❤
..and thank you and well done to everyone who has gotten this far! ❤ 🥳
