Mr Al-Nammari is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgery. After completing his undergraduate medical training in Edinburgh, he was awarded a scholarship to the University of Oxford where he furthered his studies in musculoskeletal medicine and earned a distinction for his dissertation on Charcot arthropathy.
He divided his four-year general surgical training between Edinburgh and London, then completed the renowned six-year Royal London Orthopaedic Surgery Training Programme. Specialising in foot and ankle surgery, he spent time at The Royal London, St Bartholomew’s, Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College, St George’s and The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospitals.
Later, he gained highly competitive awards from the European Foot and Ankle Society, The Royal College of Surgeons and finally the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society gold medal. These awards facilitated two further years of advanced Fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at centres of excellence across the UK, Europe and the USA.

Working with a team of musculoskeletal radiologists, physiotherapists, osteopaths and podiatrists, Mr Al-Nammari treats all adult musculoskeletal conditions – both simple and complex – affecting the foot and ankle.

Meet Judy 👋

Judy joined the team at Gilmour Piper after extensive experience as a Soft Tissue Therapist in NW London. Qualifying in 2005 Judy also holds an MSc in Sports Rehabilitation (Dist) from Middlesex University and is a Stott Pilates Matwork Instructor.

Judy uses a variety of hands-on techniques to address acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions in patients of all ages and from all walks of life. She is a firm believer in correct alignment for reducing injury risk and optimising functional movement, regardless of an individual’s activity levels. Treatments are supported by individualised, follow-up movement programmes to complement clinic sessions and speed-up recovery time.

A former professional dancer, Judy is also a member of the Healthcare Team on the Advanced Training Programme for young dancers at Dance East, Ipswich and is involved in annual musculoskeletal screening for dance students at the English National Ballet School and the London Studio Centre. Judy is also a part-time lecturer in Dance Science at the University of Suffolk.

In her spare time Judy enjoys participating in a variety of studio-based exercise classes and going for long walks. After completing the London Marathon in 2005, more sedately than planned, she is now only a fair-weather runner!

Ipswich foot clinic was established 14 years ago by Ali Wareham, she has since built up a fantastic team who treat a wide range of foot and ankle problems but each have their own areas of specialism or Interest (watch this space to find out more!) Ipswich foot clinic are embedded in Gilmour Piper allowing immediate access to other professional opinions and promotes working as a multidisciplinary team to give patients the best possible experience.

Meet Lauren 👋
Lauren achieved her childhood dream to become a qualified physiotherapist in 2017 when she graduated from Hertfordshire University with a Bsc first class honours. Since then, she has worked locally for the NHS gaining a wealth of experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy which encompassed orthopaedic, paediatric and post-operative care. In addition to her private work, Lauren also works as a specialist lower limb physiotherapist in the NHS specialising in Lower backs, hips, knees and feet/ankles. She works alongside the foot and ankle consultant in an elective clinic at Ipswich hospital. Lauren is also a member of the AACP and qualified in the use of acupuncture.
Having experienced the benefits of physiotherapy herself throughout her early years, Lauren is strongly emphatic and motivated to ensure that others receive the highest level of care. She finds ultimate satisfaction in securing a patient’s road to recovery and making the journey of rehabilitation a positive experience.
Away from work, Lauren participates in a wide variety of sporting activities, but currently, you will either find her enjoying the thrill of open water swimming or riding her beloved horse Rusty.
