The Medpac Story

The idea for Medpac was born from a personal need! When my daughter was diagnosed with a condition that required her to carry medicine with her at all times, I was suddenly faced with the challenge of what to put it in. As well as needing to carry it with us at all times, the school needed two sets with photo ID and a treatment plan. After using an old make-up bag that I embarrassingly handed over at parties and clubs, I soon began to realise I was not alone and so I designed Medpac. To suit the many uses that I could identify for Medpac it had to be:

Easy to find in the bottom of a bag/classroom/sports club etc
Easy to identify who the medicine belonged to in an emergency
Durable and hardwearing
Affordable

Medpac was born - The sturdy, secure and lightweight pack allows you to carry your medication with you at all times. The bright orange colour makes the Medpac easy to find in a bag and the Medpac ID Card allows the Medpac to be easily identified to the owner who may be unable to do so themselves in an emergency situation. The Medpac Treatment Card stored inside gives you the opportunity to add all vital information and a care plan therefore aiding the medicine being administered as quickly as possible. The Medpac Wristband further helps to easily identify the wearer as someone who needs access to emergency medicine. Ideal for asthma inhalers, adrenaline auto-injectors, diabetic medicine, epilepsy medicine, antibiotics, allergy medicines and antihistamines, tablets and lots more...

I truly believe Medpac has achieved these objectives and will offer you a solution for your medicine storing requirements and ensure that you always have it to hand.

Parenting a child with medical needs looks different at every stage.

🍼 For babies and toddlers it's about reassurance and routines.
🛝 For younger children it's about schools, clubs and trust.
🎒 For teens it's about independence and confidence.

There's no one-size-fits-all approach, and there doesn't need to be. What matters is finding systems that support your needs.

It's important to adapt as life changes 🧡

Being prepared doesnt mean expecting something to go wrong.

It means kowing that if support is needed, medication and information are easy to find. easy to understand, and ready to go.

From insulated storage to clear ID cards and treatment plans, small details can make a big difference, especially when time matters.

Preparedness can be calm. It can be quiet. And it can support everday life without taking over.

The campaign for Benedict’s Law - created in memory of five-year-old Benedict Blythe - has moved closer to becoming reality, with new commitments made to improve how schools manage allergies and medical conditions.

For too long, families have faced uncertainty around whether schools would have:
• Access to emergency medication
• Trained staff who know how to respond
• Clear, consistent care plans in place

Progress like this matters because it helps reduce that uncertainty, and because every child deserves to be safe at school, regardless of their postcode.

While there is still work to be done to ensure these protections are applied consistently in every school, this moment represents real hope, built on years of campaigning by families, clinicians and allergy charities.

At Medpac, we know how heavy it can feel to entrust your child’s care to others. Anything that brings greater clarity, preparedness and confidence into those environments is something we wholeheartedly support.

Our thoughts are with Benedict’s family today, and with all families who continue to advocate for safer, more supportive spaces for children with medical needs.
