🌍💃 What an absolutely brilliant session we had at Maitland Housetoday! ✨

Our FitWord (crossword) theme was World Travel and it was pure joy from start to finish! Residents and their wonderful families joined in, sharing fantastic memories of trips to all the countries featured. There was so much laughter, reminiscing, movement and interaction – it was a proper cognitive and physical workout that left everyone with a healthy appetite for lunch!

The upbeat 70s & 80s pop music kept the energy sky high and the smiles even higher. It was so special meeting the families and seeing everyone so engaged and happy.

Thank you to all who joined – you made it bounce! ❤️🌎

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news!

I've been officially accepted as a NAPA Registered Activity Provider (AP) by the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA), the UK's leading charity and professional body supporting high-quality, person-centred activity and engagement in care services.

This registration recognises my personal commitment to delivering meaningful activities that prioritise wellbeing, align with the NAPA National Activity Standards, follow the Code of Ethics, promote inclusivity, and value ongoing professional development.

It comes with my own unique registration number (R26...) and a professional badge that I'm proud to display as a symbol of best practice in activity provision.

A huge thank you to the NAPA team (especially Gianna!) for this warm welcome and for building such a supportive community of professionals dedicated to raising standards across the UK.

What a brilliant FitWord session we had this morning at Maitland House! 🎉
The theme was Chinese New Year and the group absolutely brought their A-game — so much enthusiasm, brilliant contributions and lots of laughter.

We covered fascinating traditions, the story behind the zodiac animals, lucky foods, red envelopes, lanterns, fireworks and plenty more. Everyone picked up new facts and shared their own memories and knowledge — it was one of those really special, active sessions where you can feel the whole room learning and connecting. 🐉🧧🏮

A huge thank you to everyone who came along — you made it so enjoyable! Looking forward to the next one already. ❤️
