As part of January’s Cervical Cancer Prevention week, today we hosted a lunch & learn Cervical Cancer Prevention session 'Very Important Invitation' with Maddy Dunningham, Cervical Screening Lead Nurse at Suffolk GP Federation.

Inviting colleagues from across our services and central support teams - women & men - the session gave our colleagues the chance to learn, ask important questions, and take part in open conversations about cervical health. Focusing on;
🩷 Raising awareness of cervical screening
🩷 Understanding the HPV vaccine
🩷 Prevention and early detection
🩷 Exploring reasonable adjustments to help make screening more accessible

Committed to supporting the wellbeing of our colleagues and providing access to information and resources that empower people to make informed choices about their health, thank you to everyone who joined us for todays session.

Urgent Health UK are asking for your help!

UHUK are a partnership of mission-driven social enterprise providers, who are committed to making the experience of waiting for urgent care clearer, calmer and more supportive for patients.

Waiting for an update, GP Home Visit or a clinical assessment can feel stressful. We want to understand what information helps, when it’s most needed, and how technology could be used better to keep people informed and reassured while they wait.

That’s where you come in.

If you are aged 40- 74 years old and have not had your FREE NHS Health Check in the last five years, you may be eligible to book an appointment.

Your NHS Health Check will assess your current risk of developing certain health problems, such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease and some forms of dementia.

Although this might sound scary, the NHS Health Check is a useful way to identify potential health risks early and provide guidance on how to maintain or improve your health so that you can prevent poor health in the future.
