Come with me on a 10K as I train for the London Marathon 🏃‍♀️

Post-run, I always make time to stretch. It helps reduce stiffness and supports recovery as the training builds.

The stretches I did after my run are:
• Floor sweeps – to open up the hips and lower back
• Standing piriformis stretch – for deep glute release
• Standing calf stretch – to ease tight gastrocnemius muscles
• Lying hamstring stretch – to lengthen through the back of the legs
• Pigeon pose – to restore hip mobility

Simple, consistent recovery keeps me able to train week after week.

I’m really excited to share that I have secured a place in the London Marathon 🏃‍♀️

As the person behind Apex, I’ll be sharing my own training journey over the coming months and how I’m supporting my body along the way, with tips you can use in your own training too. I am looking forward to sharing my training journey.

With marathon season approaching, listening to your body becomes even more important. If something doesn’t feel quite right in the lead-up to a race, a sports rehabilitation appointment may support you in staying on track.

We also offer sports rehabilitation and physiotherapy appointments in your own home, allowing care to fit around you and your environment.

Home visits are available within a 5-mile radius at no extra charge, with an additional fee for those outside of 5 mile radius.
