When you get your screening appointment will depend on the GP practice you're registered with. Don't worry if your appointment doesn't arrive as soon as you turn 50. Each GP practice takes part in the screening programme every three years so you may not receive your first invitation until you're nearly 53.

🎀💖 WOW… we are absolutely blown away! 💖🎀

Our raffle for Breast Cancer Now raised an incredible £300, and when we add that to the total from our bake sale, we’ve hit a truly amazing £1,000 raised in total! 😍👏

We honestly can’t believe it — what a fantastic result! We’re so incredibly grateful to everyone who baked, bought, donated, organised, or simply spread the word. Every single person helped make this possible, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together. 💪💗

Thank you all for your amazing generosity and support — what a community! 🌸✨

Early detection plays a transformative role in breast cancer by identifying disease at an initial stage, offering the greatest
potential for effective intervention and better outcomes.

Detecting breast cancer early allows for interventions when treatments are most effective and minimally invasive.
For example:

Cancer: Stage 1 breast cancer patients exhibit a 5-year survival rate of 97.9%, compared with 26.2% for late-stage diagnoses.

Addressing breast cancer early often involves less intensive treatment and shorter hospital stays.

Routine mammograms, catch cancer before symptoms appear.

Early detection leads to:
Reduced morbidity and improved long-term patient well-being.

Conclusion
Early detection not only saves lives but also enhances quality of life.
