Our grounds offer space not only for reflection, but for nature too 🕊️🌿

When you next visit us look out for:

- Tweeting birds in their nests
- Green buds starting to appear
- Foxes, squirrels, butterflies, and other passing wildlife
- Sunlight dancing through the tree branches (we can hope for sun at least!)

Our memorials team had a truly moving day, spending time with many of our families and gently listening as they shared their heartfelt plans for laying their loved ones to rest. It is always a privilege to be trusted with such deeply personal moments.

When a family chooses our team to support them during these meaningful times within our grounds, we feel sincerely honoured — not only as members of staff, but as people. We never take that trust for granted.

Whether families are choosing to scatter ashes on our communal lawns or arrange an interment within a family plot, our intention is to walk alongside them with care and compassion. We aim to create a personal and thoughtful farewell, shaped around their wishes, so that each service feels truly their own.

If desired, we can help incorporate special touches such as:

• Meaningful music 🎵
• Prayer or moments of reflection 🙏

Our Letters to Heaven post box give families a quiet moment to write, reflect, and send a message of love to someone who will always be part of their story. Each letter is placed into our dedicated post box within the grounds — a small act that can bring real comfort.

There’s no right way to write one. Just write from the heart.

Walk in Wednesday- 11.2.26

Tomorrow, our Memorials Team will be available to welcome families who wish to talk through existing memorials or explore options for creating a new one.

On arrival, please ask for Susan, who would be honoured to take time to listen and gently guide you through the choices available for commemorating your loved one.

The kettle will be on and the biscuits ready, as we open our doors for a day of informal conversations and thoughtful discussion around creating lasting, meaningful memorials.

“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure."

Join with us to celebrate all mothers and mother figures no longer with us this Mother’s Day in our Wave of Love.

To participate simply comment the name of your loved one on this post by Saturday 28th February.

We will create a tile with your loved one’s name to be included in our video montage and this will be uploaded along with images of the individual tiles which you can share with family & friends.

Our new Memorial Consultant has wasted no time in redecorating our memorial office to create a warm and welcoming space for our families to visit.

Bringing experience in customer care and knowledge of the memorial sector, Susan is looking forward to supporting our families in creating lasting tributes and memorials for their loved ones.

Speaking of her first month at Holmsford Bridge this is what she had to say-

‘Since becoming part of team Holmsford I have been made feel very welcome by Kenny, Paul and the whole team. My favourite part of my role is listening to our families share stories of their loved ones. The door is always open whether it’s to welcome a new family as they navigate choosing a memorial or to an existing family who are visiting the gardens and need a wee cuppa and a listening ear.’

Turning a new page at Holmsford Bridge

As part of our ongoing improvements here at Holmsford Bridge we are delighted to announce the recruitment of our new Assistant Business Leader Paul and also our new Memorial Consultant Susan.

An area they have both identified for improvement is our granite memorial book within the courtyard. Our team will be focussing on a deep clean and bringing this timeless piece back to it original condition.

To honour the refurbishment we are able to offer plaques on the book with perpetuity for only £499.

Delicately crafted and a beautiful, intricate floral design 🩷🍃

These urns and keepsakes, finished in soft pastel tones, offer a quiet and personal option for remembrance.

The larger urn is suitable for a full set of ashes, while the smaller urn is designed to hold a portion, making it a gentle choice when several family members wish to have a keepsake of their own. The heart keepsake allows space for a small token of ashes or a lock of hair - a simple, meaningful way to keep someone close.

This is just one of many carefully considered memorial options, created to rest peacefully in a home or another place that feels right. Brighter days are on their way and before we know it the flowers will be in bloom! The sunset will start to gradually move forward and this is how the next few months will look ☀️🌱

- February - the sun begins to set after 5.30pm

- March - evenings draw out towards 6.30pm (and suddenly feel much lighter)

- April - daylight lingers until around 8pm

- May - long, calm evenings arrive, with sunsets close to 9pm

We can't wait to see those fresh green shoots and watch the grounds burst into colour - the quiet sense of renewal that comes with the changing season and a reminder that brighter days, in every sense, are always ahead. 🌸🌿

Thinking about the future isn’t often easy, but many families tell us that having plans in place brings them comfort. Knowing that arrangements are made means loved ones won’t have to make difficult decisions during a painful time.
Our private memorial gardens can be reserved in advance, offering reassurance that when the time comes, everything is prepared. Family plots are also available, ensuring loved ones can remain together in the same space - a lasting comfort for generations to come.
