After 22 years at Eglinton Family Practice, our Practice Nurse Jo Jamieson is embarking on a new chapter in her career.

While we are incredibly sad to see Jo leave, we are equally grateful for the dedication, compassion, and expertise she has brought to our patients and our team over the years.

Jo will be greatly missed by all of us, and we know her patients will feel the same. Her warmth, professionalism, and commitment have left a lasting impact on our practice.

We wish Jo every success and happiness in her new endeavours. She leaves with our deepest thanks and our very best wishes for the future. ❤️

Protected Learning Time – Practice Closure Notice

Some GP Practices in Ayrshire and Arran will be taking part in Protected Learning Time (PLT).

The Practice will be closed on Tuesday 24th February 2026 between 1:00pm and 5:30pm to undertake staff training.

🛑🚗 Patient Notice – Parking at Eglinton Family Practice 🚗🛑

Please park only in designated parking spaces. Unsafe parking has recently blocked access for patients, doctors attending house calls, disabled access, and emergency vehicles.

There has also been a recent incident involving damage to parked cars.

If the main car park is full, please use the overspill area beside the Practice.

IMPORTANT PATIENT NOTICE

Eglinton Family Practice will operate a limited service only from Wednesday, 14th January from 8.30am to 5.30pm inclusive.

This is to allow for an essential server upgrade installation. During this period there will be no advanced booking of appointments and limited computerised information will be available.

**We are also unable to order prescriptions at this time**

Patients requiring attention or advice should contact the surgery as normal.

Bank Holiday Weekend Notice

Please be advised that the Practice will be closed on Friday 19th September and Monday 22nd September for the Bank Holiday weekend. We will reopen on Tuesday 23rd September at 8:30am.

Due to a shortage of clinical staff, we have reached full capacity for appointments today and are operating an emergency-only appointment service.
There is no need to contact the Practice regarding any pre-arranged calls or appointments, as these will proceed as scheduled.
