MISSION CHRISTMAS Cash for Kids West Scotland
This Christmas, many children will be living in poverty across the West of Scotland and beyond. Many are at risk of waking up with nothing under the tree because Christmas is a luxury their families simply can’t afford.

Mission Christmas is here to change that. They are getting ready to help Santa reach children who might receive nothing – making sure they have something special to open on Christmas morning.

We are supporting this appeal by having a toy drop off point in our Thistle Help Irvine showroom. If you wish to make a donation, please drop them off by Tuesday 16th December to allow time for Santa and his elves to wrap the gifts.

We have such lovely customers at Thistle Help. This lady has been a customer of ours for many years and when she used to visit our showroom, she always brought us flowers, biscuits, chocolate & sweets. Fraser our engineer was out repairing her scooter recently. She sent a lovely card in the post today for Fraser. Jane Gilmour you are some lady 😊

We are delighted to announce that we are finalists in the Equal Supported Employment in North Ayrshire Employability awards this coming Tuesday!

Callum who joined us in January within our warehouse and delivery team is a finalist in the Career Pathway Excellence category and Thistle Help is a finalist in the Employer Recognition category for supporting employment in Ayrshire.

We are over the moon for Callum to be a finalist! He has done amazing since he started with us. Fingers crossed!

We visited Ayrshire Hospice on Monday to hand over a cheque for £1,925.00 from our recent Go Purple coffee morning fundraiser. We are delighted to have raise this amount of money 💜

Thank you to Fundraising Manager Shalane Breen for giving us a tour of the new facility on Racecourse Road, Ayr. It is a beautiful space and feels so homely and welcoming. We also had a cuppa in their new coffee shop which is open to the public. Well worth a visit for some lovely home made food and tasty cakes.

Thank you to everyone who supported our coffee morning. Without your support and kind donations, this event wouldn't be possible 😊

The Beach Wheelchair HuB will be open on Friday 7th November this week from 10-3pm. Friday looks to be a dry day and perfect for a stroll on the beach. Free for all to use. 🙏🏼

Today I visited Ayrshire Cancer Support in Ayr to see their new centre. I was warmly welcomed from the moment I went in. This space is so calming and has a home from home feel to it.

If you are facing a diagnosis, undergoing treatment, caring for a loved one, or coping with loss, Ayrshire Cancer Support are there to help.

They offer a wide range of services including a drop in centre, cancer support specialists, children and young people support, counselling, complimentary therapies, patient transport services, groups, courses, workshops and patient information.
