West Middlesex University Hospital

West Middlesex University Hospital West Middlesex University Hospital is part of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, one of the top ranked and top performing trusts in the UK.

Our Trust employs more than 6,000 staff over our two main hospital sites, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital, and across 12 community-based clinics within North West London. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding care to a community of over 1.5 million people. Both hospitals have major A&E departments, treating more than 300,000 patients each year. The Tru

st is the second largest maternity service in England, delivering more than 11,000 babies every year. In partnership with our hospital charity CW+ we build and enhance clinical facilities to create an outstanding care environment for our patients and for our staff. We are growing our existing portfolio of innovation projects and our reputation in this field, to become a national leader for innovation within the NHS. We aspire to provide locally-based and accessible services enhanced by world-class clinical expertise. Our excellent financial and operational performance is a source of great pride to us. It is nationally recognised and sees us simultaneously achieving our financial plan while continuing to be one of the best performers against the national access standards for accident and emergency (A&E), referral to treatment (RTT) and cancer. Through the Health and Care Partnership (HCP) in both North West and South West London we work as a wider health system to drive improvements to care, and to deliver integrated care in Hammersmith and Fulham, Hounslow and West London and beyond.

Last week, we hosted our first ever 'from scrubs to sequins' fashion show featuring our very own staff models and designers!

The event, which was a sold-out success, celebrated the creativity, culture and diversity of our workforce and helped to raise fund for our official charity, CW+ charity.

Thank you to all our models, staff designers, behind-the-scenes volunteers, ISS Colleagues and everyone who helped bring this fantastic event to life.

There is an opportunity to join Imperial College Health Partners (ICHP), the health innovation network for North West London. They are seeking two exceptional individuals with experience in academia or business/industry experience within the health, life sciences, or other relevant sectors to join its Partnership Board in Non-Executive Director roles.

These Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) will bring their strategic, executive expertise to ICHP as it seeks to deliver its vision of a healthy and productive population with equitable access to innovative health and care services.

This is an exciting time to join ICHP, as we launch a brand-new three-year strategy in 2026/27 - setting out clear goals and priorities.

Over 200 children and young people from across north west London joined more than 100 researchers, clinicians, and parents for an inspiring event to shape the future of child health research and clinical services, held at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge.

The event saw children from local schools learn about research to improve our understanding and treatment of diseases that affect millions of children in the UK, including asthma, allergies, infectious diseases - as well as the science and benefits of breastfeeding to child health. Researchers, doctors and health professionals from across Imperial College London and West London Children’s Healthcare took part.

Nicola Grinstead, Managing Director for West London’s Children’s Healthcare, said: “It really matters to us to hear directly from children and young people about what’s important to them: whether that’s how hospital services are shaped; what research questions we should be prioritising; or how they want to be directly involved in shaping the future. That was the purpose of this event.”
