Would you like to learn how to paint a moody watercolour landscape? Here’s some we made at Art Club last Thursday afternoon and we will be creating some more at Art Club this Monday evening.

Everyone can draw a pony!!

Would you like to learn how to draw a pony? These were drawn by people at our art club last Thursday afternoon. They had never drawn a pony before and had little drawing experience or confidence, but look what they achieved! 🐴

Come along to The Art Club at The Clay Factory on the edge of Ivybridge this Monday evening (6.30 - 8.30pm) and you can learn how to draw one too. It’s a step by step guided process that anyone can do, and you will be amazed at your results. ✍️

You first visit to the art club is free. You don’t need any art experience, everyone is welcome (especially if you are scared of making art and were told you were no good at school).🙂

A great way to beat the Winter blues! Join us on the next Walk, Meditate, Create on Saturday 9th December from 10am to 4pm.

This includes a walk on Dartmoor, some meditation and mark making on the moor, a 2 course vegan lunch in the RedPod Food cafe then collaborative art making at The Clay Factory on the edge of Ivybridge and Dartmoor.

Over the past year we have been up the Beacon in all kinds of weather - every visit is unique and it is always an uplifting experience!

Tickets cost £25 with lunch and art materials included. No art experience is necessary. Always lovely company!😊

"Art & Mind" is an interactive community art exhibition exploring the topic of mental health, launching at The Clay Factory on Thursday 9th November 6 - 8pm, also open Friday 10th and Saturday 11th November from 11am - 2pm.

Over a period of several weeks a group of 10 people worked together to explore the topic of mental health through art, making work primarily out of cardboard and other recycled materials. Some of the participants had little to no art experience. Together they worked to produce this exhibition which includes interactive stations where visiting members of the public may choose to contribute to the exhibition should they wish. Also on display will be collaborative output from over 1 year of The Art Club and also monthly 'Walk, Meditate, Create' day retreats.

The open evening will include talks from guest speakers at 6.30pm on the topic of creativity and mental health.

This promises to be an exciting and unique exhibition, suitable for all ages, encouraging dialogue on mental health and the role creativity can play. Entrance is free and you may come along any day. The RedPod Food cafe will be open, serving delicious vegan meals and refreshments. Please email redpodfood@gmail.com for the menu and to book meals in advance (essential for us to avoid food waste).

On Saturday 9th September is the first Walk, Meditate, Create in Longtimber Woods in Ivybridge. It will be a day to immerse yourself in nature and experience deep peace with the nicest of company. Led by community artist Jamila Hanan, you will be guided to connect with your creativity through collaborative land art, using natural materials found in the woods. We will be meeting under the viaduct at 10am and finishing in the woods at 3pm. Price for the day is £25.
