Did you know that we have our own HR support team in-house who are here to support in the recruitment of client support teams?

This means that we can relieve this concern from our clients and tap into our extensive networks to find the best fit for our clients 🩵

We recently heard from StanleySmith Director, Nikki, on what her days as a Clinical Case Manager can look like.

Nikki highlights just how varied her diary is and that no two days are the same, which is something the team here enjoys so much! 🩵

It's time for a brew!

Today, make sure to get chatting with others and check in on one another!

The Samaritans charity started Brew Monday as a way for everyone to get talking, and as a reminder that feeling low is not reserved for the third Monday in January.

So, join us in getting chatting and make sure you check in on someone today ☕️🩵

We're almost halfway through January already - and we wanted to share our goals and promises for 2026.

Each of us at StanleySmith share a passion for helping our clients achieve their potential, and this is at the forefront of everything we do - so, here are a few things we are really focusing on in 2026 to maximise outcomes for our clients and team:

- Collaborating with all involved in a client’s rehabilitation journey, working together to achieve their goals
-Staying up-to-date in our practice
-Making time for reflective practice to ensure our clinical approach is well-considered
-Remaining open to innovation and new ideas

What are your professional goals this year?

As we kickstart 2026, our New Year's resolutions are in full swing!

We wanted to share some of our resolutions with you, so here is some insight from the team:

🤍 To work on practising Spanish weekly - particularly grammar!
🩵 To go on a wine tasting course in France or Italy.
🤍 Get up earlier to do Joe Wicks workouts.
🩵 Spend less time on my phone and social media.
🤍 Exercise a minimum of 3 times per week – walk, Joe Wicks, yoga/stretch – try and walk 45 mins 4 times a week.
🩵 Eat x 5 fruit & veg a day.
🤍 Make healthy food choices. Follow Michael Mosley or Joe Wicks - and stop eating Freddo’s!
🩵 Make time to read or listen to audiobooks.
🤍 Reduce spending on items not required - instead, save for family weekends away in the camper van.
🩵 Spend more quality time with my family.
🤍 Embrace country living – wellies and tweed are the way forward!
🩵 Start pilates!
🤍 To identify two opportunities in the week for some 'me time' while my husband babysits.
🩵 To learn some new makeup techniques.
🤍 To make my first photo book.

It's been important to have some time to reflect on our goals outside of work - have you had a think about what you want to achieve in 2026? 💭

As we reflect on 2025, SSCM has had another fulfilling and busy year. As always, we’ve endeavoured to deliver quality case management, underpinned by clinical expertise and to empower our clients to achieve their fullest potential.

We’ve been delighted to welcome five new clinical case managers to our team and welcome back a previous case manager. Within the office team, we have welcomed Megan, our new Case Management Assistant and Liz, our Development Officer. We are so proud of our four clinical case managers who have achieved their registration with the Institute of Registered Case Managers and Rebecca, our Business Support Manager, who has just finished her level 5 Management and Leadership Diploma. We’ve had helpful team presentations and meetings with care agency providers and adapted vehicle suppliers. We attended the BABICM annual conference, as well as the Professional Deputies Forum and welcomed everyone to our annual SSCM conference in November.

We wish all of our clients, their families, and the support teams, professionals, and providers we work with a restful festive break, and we look forward to doing it all over again in 2026!
