Meet Emma, one of our brilliant clinical case managers ✨

An experienced Occupational Therapist, specialising in neurological conditions including acquired brain injury, Emma works with both young people and adults. Emma has a breadth of experience, particularly regarding the impact of brain injury and neurodiversity in teenagers, working closely on EHCPs, with schools, local authorities and statutory services to ensure the best outcomes for her clients.

Emma has experience with local authorities, organising and sourcing equipment, and is very happy to travel to ensure that clients across a range of counties (from Somerset to Essex and Northamptonshire to Hampshire) benefit from her specialist experience 🩵

Today is about celebrating love in all of its forms.

At StanleySmith, we know that love goes beyond the romantic type as it's found in support, connection, and the small acts that make a difference.

Whether you're celebrating with a partner, friends, or taking some time for yourself, we wish you a very happy Valentine's (or Galentines) 🩷

This week is Children's Mental Health Week, and we are proud to share our support 🩵

This week is all about the aim to create a world that is inclusive, where children and young people can feel that they belong.

We have the pleasure of working with children and young people, and seeing them learn and thrive is a constant reminder of why we do what we do - and supporting their mental health and ensuring a welcoming world for them goes hand in hand with this.

Today is Mind Charities Time to Talk Day - the nation's biggest mental health conversation.

We want to do our part by sharing the word and encouraging you to check in on someone today and get talking about mental health. To support Mind's mission, you can:

🩵Text a friend to ask how they're doing.
🤍Go for a walk and talk with a neighbour.
🩵Invite a colleague for a cup of tea and a chat.
🤍Deliver a talk at work about mental health.
🩵Host a lunch and learn in your workplace.
🤍Share a post on social media.

There are lots of small and actionable things you can do to help others know there is support out there, including a listening ear from yourself 🩵

We love our meetings with the whole StanleySmith team. The joy of virtual meetings means that so many of our team can attend, and we have the opportunity to celebrate our wins, share best practices, and generally have a great catch-up 🩵

We'd like to say a big thanks to our CQC Compliance Manager, Lorna, and Medication and Complex Care Lead, Nina, for their extensive updates on recent medication and training updates!

Did you know that we have our own HR support team in-house who are here to support in the recruitment of client support teams?

This means that we can relieve this concern from our clients and tap into our extensive networks to find the best fit for our clients 🩵

We recently heard from StanleySmith Director, Nikki, on what her days as a Clinical Case Manager can look like.

Nikki highlights just how varied her diary is and that no two days are the same, which is something the team here enjoys so much! 🩵

It's time for a brew!

Today, make sure to get chatting with others and check in on one another!

The Samaritans charity started Brew Monday as a way for everyone to get talking, and as a reminder that feeling low is not reserved for the third Monday in January.

So, join us in getting chatting and make sure you check in on someone today ☕️🩵
