Reflection time 😊

Did you love being being a teenager? What’s it like being one now?

What is, or was, the best thing about being a teenager?

If you think someone is struggling and thinking about su***de, it’s ok to ask them. You won’t make this more likely to happen by doing so and you might just be the voice they need to hear 💕

Reflection time!

Questions like these get us to stop and take a moment. They foster self-awareness, are a good talking point and often give us some valuable insight.
This week’s picture shows the question “Would you rather wake up in Freaky Friday or Groundhog Day?”

Hmmm 🤔… I’ll put my answer in the comments later 😊

Be you! Whether that’s a plum or a banana! I do a lot of work with people around control, what’s in your control and what isn’t and accepting that and this blob poster couldn’t say it any better 👏

Goodbye January! It’s been a loooong month with way too much rain and I know I for one am glad to see the back of it 👋
How is everyone doing?
Reflection point this week is “What do you need to tell yourself this month?”
For me, I think I need to hear that it’s ok to rest when I need it. What about you? What would you happily tell someone else but don’t necessarily apply the same rules to yourself? 🤔

Reflection time: Is it feeling like a long, dark month, I know it feels like that for me certainly. What are you doing to help you get through and find a little light?

Blue Monday doesn’t exist, and it’s not the most depressing day of the year.

In fact, it’s a marketing gimmick, and depression is a mental health condition that can affect people on any day of the year.

Reflection time: How can you make positive change in your life right now?

It doesn’t have to be something big. For example, maybe you’d simply like to get outside more? What does this look like? It means something different to each of us. For some it might be I want to walk at least 30 mins every day and for others it could be that you want to sit in your garden with a cuppa for ten minutes. What needs to happen to affect that change? How can you break it down in to small achievable chunks?

For me, it’s been that I want to read more (not just scroll on more phone! 😳) and to make that happen I signed up to an app that lists my books and I can add the pages I’ve read each day, rate and review it, and it gives me challenges that are achievable. January’s is to read one page every day. Small yes, but very achievable which means I’m then motivated to read more and my dopamine is high fiving me! ✋

Also, do you like my new Lego succulents? ❤️
