With skincare trending everywhere, it’s easy for young skin to get overwhelmed by products it doesn’t actually need. If you’re under 20 (or a parent of someone who is), here are the top products to skip to keep a fresh, healthy glow:

🚫 1. Strong Acids Every Day
AHA/BHA exfoliants are powerful and can cause irritation, breakouts, or sensitivity when overused. Young skin already renews quickly — no need for daily acids.

🚫 2. High-Strength Retinol
Strong retinoids are great for ageing concerns, not developing skin. They can disrupt the skin barrier and trigger redness or peeling when used too young.

🚫 3. Harsh Scrubs
Walnut scrubs, rough beads, and anything gritty can create micro-tears. Stick to gentle exfoliation when needed — not multiple times a week.
