☆ EXCITING NEWS ☆

Now introducing the Radial Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (r-ESWT) at the Haverhill Osteopathic & Sports Injury Practice, using the best available technology - Swiss engineered Storz device.

This is a evidence based treatment that involves low energy pressure waves into damaged tissues to increase blood flow, stimulate repair and regeneration, whilst reducing pain and allowing the body to restart its own natural healing process.

This treatment is widely used by the majority of experts and high profile professional sports bodies and recognised by top orthopaedic hospitals and
major NHS hospitals and elite sporting
clubs across the world.

Shockwave has a high success rate for treating Planter Fasciitis, myofascial pain, chronic tendinopathies such as tennis/golfers elbow, biceps, rotator cuff, patella, gluteal, adductor, proximal hamstring, achillies and calcific tendinopathy.

Had a little bit of fun yesterday at my dad's expense 🤣 Been working on rehabilitating his knee after a total replacement a few weeks ago. Thought we'd mix it up a bit by taking photos of his face by using the crying filter. 🤣 (all part of the service)

On a serious note, I can't stress enough the importance of mobilisation and exercise to restore strength in the knee following a total knee replacement.

It's hard work and painful, but the results are well worth it. The aim is to promote healing, by improving blood flow, breaking down scar tissue and reactivating the muscles, which overtime will increase your range of motion and muscle strength. If you fail to do these regularly you increase the risk of a poor recovery.

Go dad! You're smashing it. 💪

Hi everyone!

Hope, you're all well and had a lovely weekend.

For those who dont know, I've been taking part in '200 skips a day' challenge through February to help raise money for Cancer Research UK.

A very dear friend of mine unfortunately diagnosed with breast cancer in June of last year, and is still undergoing treatment and I have to say, has been a real trouper. I'm so proud of her.

So when I came across this challenge, I thought, let's do it! The challenge is only supposed to be 100 skips, and when she said that she wished she could join me, I said I'd do her 100 skips too! Hence, the 200. My kids and husband have also joined in. We've been dressing up to make it as fun a possible and to keep her smiling.

If you'd like to donate, it would be awesome. I'm hoping to raise £1000. Currently on £705
