Time for a Digital Sunset?

As evening arrives, give your brain permission to wind down.

Powering off phones, laptops and TVs at least an hour before bed helps your body release melatonin, your natural sleep hormone, so you can fall asleep faster and wake up refreshed.

Small habits, big difference.

Tonight, try a digital sunset and notice how it feels to truly switch off.

Stress leaves clues, recovery reveals strength đź’Ş

As this Stress Awareness Week draws to a close, Clayton and the team are reminding us that stress isn’t something to eliminate, it’s something to understand.

The real problem comes when recovery falls off the radar. That’s when our body starts sending signals: fatigue, headaches, restless nights, low mood.

Regular health checks help you spot those signs early, so you can restore balance before burnout takes hold.

The Science of Calm at Keele University’s Health & Wellbeing Fair

Today, our team, lead by our founder Becca Clayton had the privilege of delivering The Science of Calm - a seminar exploring how understanding the body’s stress response can help us move from reaction to regulation, and ultimately, to optimal performance.

It was a genuine pleasure to see such strong engagement from the Keele University and Science & Innovation Park community - students, staff, and visitors alike - all leaning into the conversation around stress, awareness, and wellbeing.

As we mark Day 2 of International Stress Awareness Week, it feels particularly timely to remind ourselves that stress isn’t just a feeling, it’s a physiological signal. When we learn to interpret those signals early, we can prevent burnout, enhance focus, and perform at our best.

A heartfelt thank you to X-Hail with Emma Snape, and Dr Nick for sharing your expertise and energy in making the science accessible and actionable ✨

Stress isn’t guesswork, it’s measurable data that you can interpret.

If you can’t show me your team’s top 3 stressors and one metric that’s improving month-on-month, you don’t have a wellbeing strategy!

This week pick one metric (absence, incident rates, error rates, time-to-first-response). Baseline it today, remeasure Friday.

Book a 20-min “Stress-to-Strategy” audit call with us. We’ll map your metric to one intervention.

Contact our team today by email, contact form or phone to discuss how a Tonic Wellbeing programme could help your organisation.

Big News Folks…

We’re thrilled to share that at the heart of our wellbeing programmes, is now officially Assured, independently validated for safety. Assessed against internationally recognised standards across three key areas:

âś… Clinical Assurance
âś… Data Privacy

This recognition is more than a badge, it’s a mark of trust.

Proof that our commitment to science-based, preventative wellbeing stands up to the most rigorous standards in digital health.

This milestone strengthens our mission to make evidence-based wellbeing accessible to all, and to help organisations embed prevention, performance, and positive health change at scale.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey, you know who you are.

The future of wellbeing is digital, and we’re proud to be leading it.

✨ Quote of the Day ✨

“Doubt kills more dreams than failure will.”

How many times have we held back because we weren’t sure we could do it, when in truth, we were more capable than we realised? 💭

At Tonic, we believe confidence grows through action, not perfection. Every small step forward builds momentum, belief, and courage. So if something’s been sitting on your heart lately… take that first step today. 🌿

So Becca (our founder) just smashed a 30-minute lunchtime circuit 💪 and it got us thinking… we all need reminding how powerful those little bursts of movement really are.

She’s right. You don’t need a whopping gym session to feel the benefits, a ten minute stretch, a walk round the block, or even a movement snack (a short burst of physical activity usually 1–10 minutes) can:

✨ Boost your energy
✨ Ease those aches
✨ Lift your mood
✨ Clear your head

There’s ooodles of research to support this.

So we’re curious… would you like to see movement snacks, activity challenges, and short workouts added into the Tonic And Me app?

Pop your thoughts below 👇 please.
We’d love your feedback!
