and exercise your entire skeletal system
So, take time out to connect with your body, heart & mind with A Dru yoga class. Dru Yoga is a type of yoga that is suitable for all abilities. Set up around 20 years ago it still has its roots
in ancient yogic tradition and is practised in many different countries which is why it is one of the
biggest yoga organisations in the world. I can offer 1:1 or 1:2, classes in your own home if you wish. I will be starting small group classes soon.

The seated forward bend is more than a stretch — it’s a way of turning inward. By gently folding the body forward, the nervous system receives a calming message, helping stress to soften and the mind to quiet down. This posture offers a soothing pause for those carrying tension through their day.

Physically, this stretch lengthens the back, hamstrings, and shoulders, while also gently massaging abdominal organs. From an Ayurvedic view, it helps release stored heat and supports digestion by encouraging prana to flow more smoothly through the body’s channels.

If practiced with patience and without force, it becomes a safe haven of relaxation. Just a few mindful breaths in this posture can bring clarity, reduce strain, and support inner balance. It’s best practiced with awareness of your body’s limits and comfort. 🌸🧘
