On Armistice Day, we join people around the world in remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the pursuit of peace.

At 11am, we will fall silent to reflect on their courage - and to honour the veterans among us whose service reminds us of the true cost of freedom.

Lest we forget. 🌺

In the latest issue of Parklands People, we bid farewell to a face familiar to so many – Claire Smith.

Claire began her Parklands journey in the mid-90s as a pantry assistant, later becoming a carer, shift leader, manager and eventually area manager. As Parklands grew, so did Claire’s role in shaping it.

She has supported hundreds of colleagues, residents and families throughout her time with Parklands. Now, Claire is beginning a new chapter as she heads to Australia, a place close to her heart. 🇦🇺✨

Our recent Care Inspectorate visit has confirmed a grade 5 (Very Good) for how well care and support are planned, with Good ratings across all other areas.

The report recognises a warm, welcoming environment and care that reflects residents’ individual needs. Families and residents shared positive feedback too, including:

✅ “This is a lovely place. I could not wish for better.”
✅ “A first class care home in our opinion.”

🌈 What an amazing day at our Parklands Pride event! 🌟

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us — it was wonderful to see people from the community of all ages coming together, with the community spirit very much alive 💖

Special thanks to our fantastic performers Gordon Strathdee, Sugar Browne, Miss Idah, and the Heart Strings Choir from Glenisla and Speyside care homes 🎤🎶 You were all incredible!

👏 Thanks also to our amazing staff who volunteered on the day, and to everyone who generously donated prizes for our raffle and bingo.

The event was held to raise funds for our charity partner Mikeysline, and it was great to welcome our friends from Pride In Moray too 🌈🤝
