On Armistice Day, we join people around the world in remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the pursuit of peace.

At 11am, we will fall silent to reflect on their courage - and to honour the veterans among us whose service reminds us of the true cost of freedom.

Box of celebrations

£3 per go OR 2 for £5, please see a senior member of staff (random numbers will be selected)

🎇 BONFIRE NIGHT🎇

What a busy day we have had….

This afternoon we took a wee bus outing to Huntly to attend ‘Boogie in the bar’ which was held at the Golf club. We all enjoyed a good dance & sing song to our favourite tunes, we look forward to attending back next year!🕺

This evening for supper we tucked into a chip shop supper which is a favourite for us all… it went down a treat! 😬

Followed by the main event…. fireworks!

We thoroughly enjoyed watching the beautiful bright colours from the indoors & outdoors, along with sparklers which were also good fun!

We have all had such a lovely day, lots of smiles & laughter was held💜🧡

In the latest issue of Parklands People, we bid farewell to a face familiar to so many – Claire Smith.

Claire began her Parklands journey in the mid-90s as a pantry assistant, later becoming a carer, shift leader, manager and eventually area manager. As Parklands grew, so did Claire’s role in shaping it.

She has supported hundreds of colleagues, residents and families throughout her time with Parklands. Now, Claire is beginning a new chapter as she heads to Australia, a place close to her heart. 🇦🇺✨

We’ve had a great few days celebrating the spooky season…

We made our very own sweet pumpkin pie, which went down a treat with everyone! We definitely will be baking more🎃

We also had a mini party this afternoon, playing games, dooking for apples & having a sing song to all of our favourite tunes.. lots of laughter was consumed!🧡

Another busy week here at Glenisla 🧡

We enjoyed an outing up to Wester Hardmuir to pick our own pumpkins, which we will be carving next week just in time for halloween 🎃

We also have made a start making our very own christmas decorations by drying out some oranges to be made into garlands😊

We celebrated a very special man’s 99th birthday🥳… we hope you had a wonderful day Bert!

We had a good laugh yesterday playing a few games of bingo, which is a favourite of ours!

Today we made homemade banana & chocolate chip muffins👩🏼‍🍳 which we will have for tonight’s fly cup!!

We also had Amy the minister over from the North church for our annual Autumn communion ⛪️
