Happy Spring Equinox. The time has come where the days are longer than the nights, woohoo. I will not be just Spring cleaning but I will be moving! I will still be providing massages in your chosen location in and around Kendal, but this will be put on hold for a week or so. What do I think is massively underrated, and often underworked?
ELBOWS
There are so many connections here, including muscles that connect to your shoulder blade!
When having your shoulders massaged, upper arms most certainly should be massaged, due to the triceps AND biceps connecting to your shoulder blades, believe it or not 😉

Who loves their arms being massaged ☝️

With the recent drop of temperatures be sure to heat your house up before having your massage, to ensure you don't get too chilly after the treatment. Even better if you have a fire place, for the relaxing crackle of the burning wood 😍

Lets talk about trigger points
My absolute fave to work on!
I love working a trigger point and feeling a release, and 99% of the time having a huge release of pain for the client!
Sooooo satisfying
Here's a very common one - Piriformis
These trigger points can create sciatica symptoms, along with pain/discomfort in lower back, hips and legs, numbness in these areas
CAUTION - bursitis could be present. It's always best to seek advice from a professional before doing any self-help techniques (especially if it involves doing trigger point work!)

Today is World Mental Health Day.
Not only is it important to be kind to people but it is important to NOT JUDGE on peoples actions or temper in an encounter. You never know when someone is having a bad day or time of it. Just because someone appears grumpy/moody/angry doesn't mean that that's them!
People have met me on a good day... people have met me on a bad day. I'm sure I have appeared as an ill tempered human at times (believe it or not ;) ) . I am human!
Be the good part of someone's day, if you can.
