Our wonderful Care Professional Nathalie and her client Bernice have been busy crafting together - and the results are as lovely as the smiles they shared. 💚

Moments like these remind us that companionship is so much more than care. It’s connection, creativity, and joy.

At Home Instead, we take real pride in thoughtfully matching our Care Professionals and clients based on shared hobbies, interests, and personalities. When a new client or Care Professional joins us, they complete a short questionnaire so we can truly get to know them - helping us create meaningful relationships like Nathalie and Bernice’s.

It’s Training Thursday! 💚

Some of our amazing Care Professionals recently came in for their annual mandatory training. At Home Instead South Lakes, we’re always investing in our team - offering plenty of in-house and in-field training to keep everyone confident, skilled, and supported. 🌟

Our Care Pros also love these days as a chance to catch up with colleagues they don’t often see -sharing stories, laughter, and plenty of care know-how.

Between them, these four wonderful Care Professionals - Emma, Andrea, Julie, and Myriam - have racked up more than 10,000 hours over their nine years of service. How incredible is that? 🙌

Congratulations to each of you for the outstanding care, compassion, and commitment you show every single day. We’re so proud of you all! 💫

🌟 Where has Andrea been this month? 🌟

We’re only two weeks into November, but our wonderful Engagement Coordinator, Andrea, has already been busy out and about in the community!

She kicked off the month by visiting the Kendal Rotary Club, where she enjoyed a lovely lunch with the Rotary Club members at Stonecross Manor and gave a talk on Scam and Fraud Awareness. 💬🔍

It was fantastic to meet such a passionate group of people - the Rotary Club are part of a global network of volunteers dedicated to making the world a better and safer place. 💚🌍

Andrea also visited Extra Time (Over 60s Session) on Tuesday 4th November - an activity group that meets at the Civic Hall in Carnforth every Tuesday from 1:00–2:30pm. This relatively new group has been funded by the Morecambe FC Community Foundation and provides a wonderful opportunity for seniors to socialise and stay active. ⚽💬

“I received a warm welcome from Joe and Martin, who talked me through the activities planned for the afternoon, which included dominoes and gentle chair exercises. The Carnforth Rotary Club has also very kindly donated a drink and sweet treat for everyone who attended.” ♟️☕🍰

We’ve now added Extra Time to our WOW (What’s On Where) guide, and we highly recommend giving this fantastic group a try! 💚

It’s been a busy start to November for Andrea - and a fantastic opportunity to connect with the incredible community groups making such a positive impact across South Lakes. 💚
