🎶✨ A Lovely Musical Afternoon! ✨🎶

Yesterday afternoon at Kendal Care Home, we were delighted to welcome Keith Redfern, who came in to sing a wonderful medley of songs for the people who live with us. 🎤💛

The lounge was full of smiles, tapping feet, and that warm glow that only live music can bring. 🎵😊🧡 Keith’s voice and song choices lifted the whole afternoon and created a brilliant atmosphere for everyone. 🌟🎶

A huge thank you to Keith for sharing his time and talent with us — it truly made the day special. 🙌💐🩵

This afternoon at Kendal Care Home… 🥧✨

The well-being team and the people who live with us spent the afternoon baking mince pies — and the whole home smelled like Christmas! 🎄

There was laughter, teamwork, and a fair bit of friendly competition as everyone got stuck in rolling pastry, spooning in the rich fruity filling, and giving each pie its own perfect crimp. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

When the trays came out of the oven, the golden pastry and warm spice filled the air — absolutely heavenly! 😍

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in, and to those who kept the teas and coffees flowing while we baked. ☕️❤️

It’s beginning to look (and smell!) a lot like Christmas at Kendal Care Home… 🎶✨

🎸🎶 Morning Music with Fergal! 🎶🎸

This morning, Fergal from the Well-Being Team went around Kendal Care Home with his guitar, filling every corner with music, laughter, and song 💛🎤✨

He treated everyone to a medley of classics — from sing-along favourites to gentle melodies that brought back so many memories. Residents clapped, sang, and smiled their way through the morning 🌞🎵

A big thank you to Fergal for spreading such warmth and joy — what a lovely way to begin the day! 🌼💫

🌞✨ Lancaster Adventure! ✨🌞

Yesterday, our Wellbeing team took a lovely group of residents out for a day in historic Lancaster 🏰🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

We enjoyed a gentle stroll through the cobbled streets 🏙️, taking in all the sights and sounds of this beautiful old city 💛

Of course, we couldn’t resist a bit of shopping! 🛍️
We stopped off at Primark, a sweet shop 🍬, a butcher’s 🥩, a handcrafted ornament shop 🎁, KFC 🍗, Lush 🧼, and even an oriental supermarket 🥢 – plenty of bags, smiles, and stories to bring home! 😄👜

Everyone had such a brilliant time together ❤️ — full of laughter, friendship, and that little spark you get from a great day out 🌟

🧩☕️🥤 A Lovely Day at Kendal Care Home! 🥰🌼

This morning, everyone gathered together for The Guardian Crosswords 📰✏️ — a cosy mix of brain teasers, laughter, and good conversation, all enjoyed with refreshing drinks and tasty snacks ☕️🍪🥤

Then this afternoon, we were delighted to welcome St Mark’s Church from Natland 🙏🎶💐 Their visit filled the home with beautiful music, warmth, and community spirit 💛✨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today — what a wonderful way to spend a Thursday at Kendal Care Home! 🏡💫

🎆 Bonfire Night at Kendal Care Home 🎇

A lovely evening of smiles, sparklers and good food! 🔥
Residents enjoyed tonight’s special menu — Ghost Pumpkin Soup, Bonfire Bangers & Beans, Jacket Potatoes with Chilli & Cheese, and a choice of Yorkshire Parkin or Toffee Apple Bread-and-Butter Pudding. 🍰✨

🌿☕✨ A Perfect Afternoon of Tea & Treats! ✨☕🌿

Yesterday we welcomed James Green from Tea From The Manor to Kendal Care Home for a truly delightful afternoon! 🍰🫖💛

James brought along his beautiful chest of teas, inviting everyone to smell, taste and explore the rich aromas and flavours from around the world 🌎👃🍵 It was a sensory experience to remember — full of warmth, conversation and that unmistakable comfort that only a good cup of tea can bring ☺️💬💐

Our wonderful kitchen team also baked fresh cakes to perfectly complement each blend 🧁🍋🍰 — and together it made for an afternoon that was simply tea-riffic! 😄🎶💖

Thank you, James, for sharing your passion for tea with us — and thank you to everyone who joined in for such a lovely, uplifting experience! 🌸👵👴🫖

🎃👻 HALLOWEEN PARTY AT KENDAL CARE HOME! 👻🎃

Join us this Friday night (31st October 2025) after the evening meal for a spook-tacular celebration in the main reception! 🍁✨

🕕 From 6pm onwards, Mike will be opening the bar and serving a frightfully good selection of drinks and spooky snacks 🍹🧁 while hosting a fun Halloween & Autumn-themed quiz full of laughter, surprises, and seasonal cheer! 🍂🧙‍♀️

🎉 Friends and families are warmly invited to come along, dress up if you fancy, and enjoy a magical evening together!

👻🎃 Spooky Fun at Kendal Care Home 🎃👻

Our residents had a fang-tastic time today decorating Halloween biscuits! 🍪🕸️ From friendly ghosts to cheeky pumpkins, every spooky face was sweeter than the last. 😄💀✨

It’s amazing to see so many smiles (and a little icing everywhere!) as everyone got creative. 👩‍🍳🧡

🌸 Cuddle time alert! 🌸

Little baby Scarlett came by for some cuddles today, and she brought so many smiles with her! 💕 Our residents absolutely adore these special visits — there’s nothing quite like baby giggles and tiny hands to brighten everyone’s day.
