🎅🎄 Christmas Day cheer, shared with everyone 🎄🎅

✨ On Christmas Day, the Well-Being Team transformed into Santa Claus and a troop of cheerful Christmas elves, spreading smiles throughout the home.

🎁 Every person living with us received a gift, along with a kind word, a moment of connection, and plenty of festive cheer. No one was forgotten, and every door opened to warmth and laughter.

❤️ From joyful chats to quieter, heartfelt moments, the day was about togetherness, presence, and care — the true spirit of Christmas.

🌟 A huge thank you to the Well-Being Team for making Christmas Day feel special, personal, and full of magic. 🎄✨

🎄✨ Christmas Eve at Kendal Care Home ✨🎄
What a truly magical Christmas Eve we’ve had here at Kendal Care Home ❤️📖 This morning, residents got creative by writing and sharing Christmas-inspired stories and poems, filling the room with imagination, memories, and festive warmth ✍️🎅
This afternoon, we gathered together to enjoy carols, accompanied by mulled wine and other festive tipples 🍷🎶 The sound of singing, laughter, and clinking glasses created a wonderfully cosy and joyful atmosphere ❄️🥂
A beautiful day full of creativity, togetherness, and Christmas cheer 🎄✨ We wish everyone a peaceful and happy Christmas Eve 🎁❤️

What a wonderful time we had at our Christmas Eve Eve Bingo game here at the care home! 🎅🎁 There was plenty of laughter, festive cheer, and a little friendly competition as residents enjoyed calling out “BINGO!” 🧩🎉
The room was filled with smiles, holiday spirit, and lots of excitement as prizes were won and memories were made ❤️❄️ Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make the afternoon so special.

Second visit of the day to Hayes Garden Centre 🎄✨ We enjoyed a relaxing stop in the café with drinks and cake ☕🍰 — the perfect treat after having a look around. Such a cosy, festive atmosphere and a really nice way to spend the day 😊❤️

Had such a lovely trip to Hayes Garden Centre yesterday 🎄✨ The first of two festive visits! We did some shopping 🛍️ and spent time looking at all the Christmas decorations — so many beautiful lights, trees, and displays 🎅🎁 It’s really starting to feel like Christmas 🎄❤️

🎁✨ An Extraordinary Act of Kindness – Thank You, Kendal ✨🎁

We are incredibly proud to share the outcome of a truly heart-warming community effort.

Thanks to the generosity of Kendal Care Home, Sandylands Methodist Church toddler and baby groups, and Sandgate School, a remarkable 157 Christmas shoeboxes have been lovingly donated to support young refugees aged 12–14, helping to bring joy, dignity, and a sense of care this Christmas.

📦 73 boxes were collected directly from Kendal Care Home, Sandylands Methodist Church toddler and baby groups, and Sandgate School in the first round
💷 £112 in cash donations was also raised to help with transportation
🚐 The final image shows all 157 boxes carefully loaded and on their way to the lorry for onward delivery

Every single box represents thought, compassion, and a quiet message to a young person far from home: YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN

From all of us at Kendal Care Home, thank you to everyone who donated, organised, packed, and supported this appeal. What an outstanding example of what a community can achieve when generosity leads the way.

Our residents had an amazing time today with a special performance by Hugh Dent! 🎤💛
His music filled the room with joy, smiles, and lots of toe-tapping. 🎵😊

A huge thank you to Hugh for sharing his talent and brightening everyone’s day. 💖
We can’t wait to have him back!

Had an amazing staff Christmas party Basrai's World Cuisines Blackpool .Great food, unlimited drinks, and plenty of laughs 🥰. Our team travelled by coach and kept the fun going with games and a pub stop after. One team, one love — a fantastic night all round! 🎉✨
