Jess’s Rule asks GP teams to ‘reflect, review and rethink’ if a patient presents three times with the same or escalating symptoms. It supports patients, families, and carers to speak up if they are worried about a patient’s condition.

If concerns aren’t being addressed and something doesn’t feel right, Jess’s Rule provides a clear way to escalate concerns so the patient can be reviewed and supported.

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month 🩷

This is a time where we raise awareness about cervical cancer and educate others on the signs and symptoms to look out for.

One key focus is to encourage women to attend their cervical screening - or smear test - when invited.

A smear test is a quick and simple procedure where a small sample of cells is taken from the cervix to check for any abnormalities that could lead to cervical cancer. Early detection is crucial, and it's recommended that women attend their first screening six months before their 25th birthday, if registered with a GP.

✅ If you're eligible, book your screening today.
