We did it! 🎉

Seven days of the 40 fruit & veg challenge — whether you joined in or just followed along, I hope it’s inspired some new ideas for adding more plants to your meals. Your digestion, your hormones and your waistline will thank you for it! 💃

For me, it was a great reminder that simple swaps and little additions really do make a difference. 🌟

Mouthwatering roasted cauliflower, extra greens on the side, a handful of beans — small changes add up. 🥦

Challenges like this are about progress, not perfection. I hope it’s inspired you to mix things up a bit and add some new meals to your repertoire! 🧡

I’m really looking forward to speaking at Best Practice Show, on behalf of British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine - BANT.

I’ll be sharing evidence-based nutritional insights that can support menopausal health and wellbeing in primary care. ♀️

I plan to focus on back-to-basics approaches, exploring the crucial balance of macronutrients, and micronutrients, and how these can sit alongside clinical care for GPs, practice nurses, physios and other primary care specialists. 👩‍⚕️

It’s a privilege to contribute a nutrition and lifestyle perspective to the wider menopause conversation, and to be part of a programme dedicated to excellence in everyday practice. 🧡

Day 6 — we’re on the home straight! 🥦 🎉

By now the daily tally might be a bit lower, and that’s completely normal. You’re getting closer to the target of 40, you’ve probably used up a lot of your favourites, and things naturally slow down. That doesn’t mean you’re off track — it means you’re doing it properly. 😇

This is the point where it can be fun to branch out and try something new. This is a Diana Henry recipe I made on Day 4, and it was unbelievably good — mouthwatering roasted cauliflower with garlic, preserved lemon and tahini. So full of flavour, and definitely one I’ll be making again. 🌟

I’ve got a couple more ideas up my sleeve to finish the week in style, so watch this space! 🧡

By Day 3, things often start to slow down a bit — and that’s completely normal. 🌟

The easy wins of the first couple of days are done, life gets busy again, and suddenly it can feel harder than it should. But if you’re here, you’re already doing well. You don’t need to be “ahead” — you’re right on track. 😇

One of the best ways to keep going is to stop overthinking it. A simple salad on the side, or an extra veg added to something you’d eat anyway, all counts. 🥕🌶🥬🍅

Today’s lunch was exactly that for me — leaves, bits and pieces, and a helping of gorgeous queen butter beans for protein (from Bold Bean Co — I always have a jar in the cupboard). Nothing fancy, just easy wins. 😍

I’m sharing my daily tally and what I’m actually eating in my Stories (saved to my highlights if you want to catch up). And if you’re joining in late, you’re still very welcome to jump in wherever you are. 😊
