Today we say a heartfelt and very sad farewell to our wonderful Ula, a truly valued member of our housekeeping team and a much-loved part of the Heatherdale family.
Ula is setting off on a new adventure, and we are so excited for everything that lies ahead for her. Her kindness, dedication, and incredible work ethic have made such a lasting impact on all of us.
They say one door closes and another opens, and wherever Ula is headed next is incredibly lucky to be gaining such a hardworking, caring, and genuinely lovely person.
We wish you every happiness and success in the future, Ula. You will be missed more than words can say.

Today at Heatherdale, we were full of energy as John from GFitness led us through a fantastic exercise session that challenged both our bodies and our minds. 🏋🏃🏼‍♀️💪🏻
From start to finish, the routine was engaging, varied, and designed to get everyone moving, stretching, and feeling their best.
We had such a brilliant morning, that we hardly noticed just how much we were achieving.
Every movement was helping to build strength, improve balance, and support better posture, skills that make a real difference in our everyday lives.
It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, including the carers and enjoying the session together.
The best part? We were working hard, boosting our wellbeing, and having so much fun all at the same time! 😊

Bingo, bingo — get your dobbers out!
Bingo, bingo — it’s what it’s all about!
Our residents’ all-time favourite activity took centre stage today as we went completely bingo crazy!
A little friendly competition as everyone joined in for an afternoon packed with fun.
With a fantastic selection of prizes up for grabs, the stakes were high and the smiles even bigger. From winning lines to a full house, a brilliant afternoon enjoyed by all, we can’t wait to do it all over again! 🏆

Today we were delighted to welcome our friends from Hedgehogs Nursery, and what a truly special morning it was!
Happy faces, lively chatter, and the sound of everyone joining in to sing our favourite songs together.
Lovely to see different generations connecting so naturally, sharing smiles, laughter, and precious moments.
These are the kinds of experiences that remind us just how powerful togetherness can be 😊

Our lovely ladies of Heatherdale were queuing up for the hair salon today, and our talented hairdresser Lisa was certainly kept busy!
One by one, everyone enjoyed a little pampering, leaving with beautiful hair, big smiles, and that extra boost of confidence.
Moments like these truly make our Feel Good Thursdays so special — a time to relax, feel refreshed, and enjoy each other’s company. 💇‍♀️✨😊

Today we had a wonderful time celebrating St Patrick’s Day with our residents 🇮🇪☘️
Everyone enjoyed learning more about St Patrick and the traditions associated with the day. We shared some classic Irish sayings and had great fun reading and creating limericks together, which brought lots of laughter.
We even had a themed St Patrick’s bingo game, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
It was a lovely day filled with learning, creativity, and plenty of fun! ☘️🇮🇪

Today at Heatherdale we had the pleasure of celebrating all the incredible women in our lives at our Mother’s Day Crowns & Cream Tea Royal Party.

The home was beautifully decorated in true royal style, with elegant displays and sparkling touches fit for a queen. Our residents and guests enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea featuring freshly baked scones generously topped with fresh cream and strawberry jam, alongside an assortment of delicate finger sandwiches and a selection of fancy cakes that looked almost too good to eat.

To add to the celebration, glasses of prosecco and a little Baileys were served for those who fancied something special, while many enjoyed the comforting tradition of a classic cup of tea to accompany the treats.

The afternoon was made even more memorable by the wonderful Gary Taylor, who serenaded us with timeless classics from legends such as Matt Monro and Elvis Presley. The music filled the room with smiles, singing, and plenty of fond memories.

It was a truly heartwarming afternoon and a wonderful way to celebrate and remember the mothers, grandmothers, and special women who mean so much to us. Days like today remind us how important it is to honour, cherish, and spend time with the people who hold such a special place in our hearts. 💐👑

Today we celebrated a very special milestone — Al’s 70th birthday! 🎉
We decorated his room to make the day feel extra special and we had a lovely chocolate cake for him to enjoy later when his family come in to celebrate with him.
Turning 70 is a fantastic achievement and a moment to celebrate a life full of memories, laughter, and special moments.
Happy 70th Birthday, Al! 🎂 Wishing you a wonderful day with your loved ones, many happy returns of the day! 💙
